Anyone know anything about shipping to a US store for pick up? I do know about the mailboxes, but someone on another forum mentioned that you can ship to a store in the US and pick up there. And they were not talking about say buying and shipping to the same store - they were talking about buying from places like eBay and getting it shipped to a US store for pick up? First I was hearing of this so thought I'll ask here - would love to buy from the Disney Store and make use of the free shipping.

Not sure where you are but The UPS Store in Ogdensburgh NY offers a service to Canadians for $5/wk for a small package. You can get more info on their website.

There is also The Corporate Centre which offers the same service but I don't know what their prices are. They are in Ogdensburgh as well.

I do not know of any store that does that (not saying it doesn't happen, just don't know any). I do know of lots that will do store to store shipping.

But like the PP just stated there are TONS of options for having it delivered to a postal service for small, small fees. I use UPS in Niagara Falls, NY. Depending on where you are coming to, and want to cross, there are lots of options. I use free shipping all the time from Disney, and then it either costs me $5 for a holding fee, OR sometimes the holding fee plus a per day charge. BUT, it never costs me what the places would charge to ship it within the US.

To save the hassle of actually finding a store that does this, I would just use the UPS stores, or a parcel service (ie. parcel donkey....google it). Just my thoughts.

If you live close enough to the border for renting a box at a UPS or similar location, that would be the best option.

Unfortunately living in Calgary, that is not feasable for me, so on my purchase from the Disney Store last week, rather than free shipping, I had to pay $49 in shipping fees plus an extra $28 in duty when the package was delivered.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I'm in the GTA. Anything Niagara Falls would be ideal. Off to check out....thanks for the tips.

I use www.kinek.com when I purchase something online and either the company won't ship to Canada or it's too expensive. It's basically a list of US locations where you can have stuff delivered to and they will hold it until you pick it up. We picked up a package at the Niagara Falls, NY location and the fee was only $5. You create an account on their website and you can track your packages and they notify you when it arrives.

I second kinek.com been using it for over a year now and it's convenient and only $5 per shipment.
