can we have purchases shipped home? If so, how does that work?

My son and I were in WDW over Labor Day weekend and had several items shipped home, lots from Galaxy Edge, worked fantastic. The items arrived in 1 week. I loved it. Hope this helps Disney friend,

Yes that's still available, thr charge depends on your total purchase

So, do you take the items you want to ship someplace after you have bought it or do you set up shipping when you purchase?

Also, does the address need to be connected to the magic band, or will they ship to any address?

you ship it straight from the store you buy it. When you go pay just let them know you want to ship back home
They give you a slip to fill out, the address does not have to match your info. I'm a personal shopper and ship all over the place.

You can also take all your assorted purchases to your hotel gift shop with your receipts and they will ship. We did this last week, I had picked up several breakable items in various gift shops, and hubby got a lightsaber blade that I didn't want to have to deal with on the plane. Just brought it all to the shop and we had it all scaned and ready to go in about 10 mins. Best part everything is guaranteed to arrive in perfect condition or Disney will fix the issue.

It's really easy. When we were at the Settlement Depot store at Fort Wilderness, I bought a Fort Wilderness print with Chip & Dale on it. It was too big to fit in my suitcase. The CM at the cash register offered to have it shipped home. We filled out a form and paid for the shipping, which I thought was reasonably priced. It arrived about a week after we got home. Super duper easy!
