Shipping items - What do you ship?

We will be leaving for our WDW trip in 35 days! Yipee! We are super excited! It is our first time staying on property and the first visit for my youngest.

We will shipping a box or two of items to the resort and making a grocery order from Safeway when we arrive.

What are some of your favorite items that you ship to the resort?

Nothing anymore. I used to ship bulky items ahead (a plastic container with laundry pods, sunscreen, baby wipes, a roll of paper towels, a few disposable bowls for morning cereal, etc) but stopped doing that after a package got lost in November. It was eventually found, but I had to replace everything long before then. I now check two bags instead of shipping (thanks, Southwest). I’m not saying shipping is a bad idea; I know many people here do it, and I had done it numerous times myself before this happened. Just beware that packages can get lost. Don’t put anything in it that can’t be easily replaced.

I have shipped diapers, wipes, sunblock, hand/face wipes, granola bars and pouches for my toddlers. Also some toiletries. Is there a fee now to hold shipped items? I thought I had heard that but don’t quote me on it.

Yes, there is a $5 fee per box. I'm thinking of shipping 1 good size box. I also just found out that there is $5 fee to for grocery deliveries too, so I plan on meeting the Safeway delivery person myself if possible. I'm not going to worry too much about the $5 fees since its still cheaper than taking an Uber to the store to go shopping myself.

We ship 2 cases of water from Amazon directly to the resort-much cheaper than buying bottles on property.
