I am trying to plan for our trip in 11 days!! I wanted to ship diapers, juice, snacks for my DD to save room in our suitcases. How do I need to label the box and is it okay if it arrives a day or two ahead of us? TIA

Make sure it is clearly labled with the resort name, specific resort address and your reservation name (1st and last) and I would also put my resort confirmation number and check-in date on the box as well.

Shouldn't be a problem if it arrives before you...they will put it in luggage storage.

is it really cheaper to ship stuff or to have a grocer deliver? i was trying to decide on this too!

Totally depends on what you are shipping. If you don't need drinks or perishables, such a milk and yogurt, then shipping might be the way.

Our budget relies heavily upon taking our own drinks with us to the parks. We order bottled water, bottled soda and bottled sport drinks along with milk, snack foods, etc. from gardengrocer.com. I don't like to hassle with buying stuff, finding a box, packing it and hauling it to USPS or UPS. Plus there is no guarentee that it will arrive and then I would be without.

Just a thought: has anyone tried ordering from Wal-Mart.com or Target.com and having the stuff sent directly to the resort? I wonder if this would work.

I know some folks that REALLY wanted a coffee maker at their All Star resort but didn't want to take up room in their "1 suitcase each" so they ordered a cheap coffee pot at walmart.com and had it shipped to the resort. Not sure what they did with it after their trip??

I used UPS Ground, and it was perfect. If you go to their web site, you can see exactly what day it will arrive by entering info and then decide when to send it. They only deliver on business days, so if you will be arriving on Sat. or Sun., have it delivered on Friday. I put some info on it (like my name and my resort arrival date), and the resort let me know that I had a package when I check in. And if you know the weight, you can see how much it costs.

Do not us USPS - from what I understand, USPS mail goes to a central location and then is distributed to the resorts. With UPS Ground, the package is delivered to the resort. And UPS Ground gives you the exact date of arrival.

I agree that I wouldn't send something heavy like drinks or anything perishable. But it was great for diapers, wipes, disposable sippy cups, coffee, little cereal boxes, non-perishable snacks, etc. It was much easier than I thought. And it was less than $10 to ship (I think that it was $7 and some change).
