Shipping furniture from East coast to West coast

Hello. I am looking for a reasonable method to ship a few items of furniture from the East Coast to the West coast. It is only a table and a few cabinets. Would a moving company be my only option?

If time is not critical, check with a nationwide mover to temporaily hold the items and then add them to a shipment going cross-country.
