Shipping from WDW

I know you can call merchandise services to purchase items and have them mailed to you, but will they ship food? I would love to get one of those giant Mickey rice crispie treats, but was not sure if they would ship food?

We asked this question last week at WDW and was told "no" because they can't guarantee delivery time, and food could spoil (we had wanted to ship the holiday rice krispie treats). You might get a different answer if you call the merchandising number.

I believe you can have anything Fed Ex'd...inn fact I know I just did lthis past sept. Shipping food within the 50 states is not illegal...candy does not spoil or need special packaging ie:dry ice. I have shipped food from the caribbean fed ex, it had to go thru customs, but we were able to do it without a problem. Rice crispy treats will not spoil (as a matter of fact, thye will most likely out live most of us ) and with the cooler weather, it will not melt, so you should not have a problem--. We have a fed ex account, but that does not matter. I always take all our stuff and bring it to the concierge desk. They bring it down to shipping and they will pack it and ship it for you. Just give them a credit card #, and tell them how you want it shipped (next day, ground, etc..). This past Sept we shipped home a ton of stuff. We shipped next day, it was packed in a big box and got home before we did. I had lots of glass stuff and it was perfectly packed, nothing broken. I think it cost 25.00...well worth it!

Let us know what you find out. My DBf loves those and that would be an awesome treat for him. Something out of the ordinary.
