I've seen this mentioned previously and was wondering if anyone has done it and if you could tell me where you went online to ship from and how the whole idea works.

It sounds simple when I read about but am afraid that it seems too good to be true ... like there's details or something that I'm missing? We arrive May 14th ... when should I place an order? If it gets there before I do will they sit on it for me (not literally of course :rotfl:)

Thanks for your help.

I went online to Costco.com and ordered a case of water that I had sent to the Poly when we went. I ordered it about 8 days before we left, on the shipping label I added "hold for guest" with name and date of arrival.

When we got into our room I had a message that we had a package and they delivered the case 10 minutes later.

Worked perfect!

I ordered from Costco in Aug 2010. We had two cases shipped to our resort(CBR). IT's the cheapest to get water. I checked in and asked if my package has arrived, they said yes. When ready to pick up package call bell services and they will deliver to your room. I called bell services that night when we returned from the parks, they brought it within 15 mins.

I know you can also get it at Gardengrocer, but i thought they were more expensive.

Some resorts (CSR is one) that charge an extra fee for deliverys. Check with your resort before you order.

We got ours from the Hess station across from DTD. But the men wanted beer, so we were heading there anyway.

We also did Costco last August it was the best thing we ever did. When we checked in I asked if we had a package and they got it for me right then. I will be doing this again in May.

Wow- 24 pack of bottled water from Costco is only $7 (shipping included!). The website says it takes 3-4 biz. days for shipping after placing order- is that timeframe about correct?

It sounds about right but I always add a day or two just to be sure.

3-4 days is probably correct for a water shipment from Costco. It is delivered by UPS (if I remember correctly). Last trip we ordered early on Wednesday and figured our water would arrive on Friday but it turned out we ordered a day too late, and UPS doesn't deliver on weekends. We ended up getting it on Monday. Next trip I will order 5 days out just to be sure.

Has anyone every done the same thing with Sam's?
I looked on their site and they have free shipping of water for around the same price as Costco.

That is about right. We did this in 2009 and I just looked at my order form to see when I had to do it this time. I ordered it on 5/26 and we arrived on 5/30. When we checked into POP, they told us we had a package waiting for us.

We used Sam's a couple years ago. Worked great!!! I tracked UPS an the water was delivered in 3 days.

Do you have to be a member at Costco to get the water delivered?

We are not and was wondering if we could still do this.

Is there a list somewhere of which resorts charge & which do not? We will be at AKL-Jambo in August.

Do you have to be a member at Costco to get the water delivered?
No. There is a small fee for non-members. When I did this through Costco (2 years ago) this was my cost for 2 cases of bottled water:
Subtotal: $13.94
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Tax: $0.96
Non-Member 5% Upcharge: $0.70
Order Total: $15.60

I only see 1/2 liter bottles for sale at Costco and Staples. Has anyone ever purchased gallon jugs and had them delivered to a resort? We're staying at Bay Lake Tower in May and drink a lot of water in-room (and want to stay away from tap).

I was hoping to purchase six 1-gallons (they usually come in three-packs) and then 1 24pack of 1/2 liter bottles to walk around with.

Does anyone have experience having deliveries/packages sent to BLT? Do they charge a delivery fee?
