Shipping a package ahead??

I am so excited. We are taking our second Disney Cruise this September. We will be cruising with our 4 year old and 8 month old. My question is what to do with all that baby stuff! My 4 year old only likes a certain kind of Gerber juice -- don't ask, at 4 I thought she would move onto another type of juice! Since she has a glass of juice every morning and evening (and has a meltdown without it), we will need to bring about 30 of those little jars of Gerber juice. Plus, my 8 month old (now 6 months) is turning out to be a very happy eater. So, I'd like to bring him some extra jarred food to keep him happy during meals (plus extra juice because of the heat). Also, he still needs diaper, wipes, etc.

I was considering shipping a package ahead of time to either the hotel or the boat. Has anybody done this? Or would it just be easier to stop at a grocery store? I wanted to avoid traveling with an entire bag of baby/child stuff. We are going to have our hands full with luggage, carseats, stroller, and children! Any ideas to make this smoother?

Thank you!!!
Jennifer

If you're renting a car or taking a towncar service, I would just stop at a grocery store on the way to the port. If you're taking the DCL bus, you won't have a chance to stop for food, so you'll have to bring it with you.

Dave's site (link) has driving directions from Orlando airport to the port, including directions to a Publix grocery store near the port (follow the "Details of the last few miles to the cruise terminal " link from the main directions page).

I think your best bet is to plan on a grocery stop on the way to the ship.

I shipped a package to the boat last month to surprise some friends who were cruiseing with their children. Here is the address you will need:

Guest Name
Sailing Date and cabin number
IDS
9001 Marlin St.
Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

The package will be delivered unopened to the stateroom. It must be there no later than 5 PM on Friday before you sail on Saturday.
Hope this helps.
