Has anyone figured out what we'll be calling the ship "classes" once the next 3 ships are sailing? Right now we have the "Classic" ships and the "New" ships. But what do we call the Dream/Fantasy when there are new "New" ships? The "Middle" ships? The "New Classic" ships? My husband's suggestion - The "Millenials"? Do we keep calling them the "New" ships and have a set of "New-New" ships?

With other cruise lines, they have ship classes named by the first of the line (e.g. Celebrity's Millenium Class and Solstice Class ships). So we could call them the Magic Class, Dream Class and ?? Class ships?

Right now we have the classics & the Dream class. The next class will probably be named after the first ship in its class, just like the Dream class was named.

Well, actually, the first two ships are the Magic class. The second two are the Dream class. Many people here called the first two the "Classic" ships as a separate designation when the "new" ships were built. Also, the Magic class ships are more classically designed (like the original ocean liners).

Typically ship classes (same design) are called by the name of the first one in the class to be built.

If all three are the same design, then it will, most likely, be called the XXXX class (whatever the name of the first one built is).
