Shingles question. Can it come back in a different place?

I think I might have shingles again. Can it come back in a different place than the first outbreak?

If not, then it must be something else.

Any advice?

YES! My poor Mom suffered with shingles on many different occasions. They would usually come back on her back but they would move around.

The only relief she got was when her doctor put her on Neurontin to block the nerve impulses (or something like that).

Unfortunately, yes.

I first got them at 17 and they've come back about every 6 months since then.

I have to agree with others. Unfortunately, they can come back. I had them at my bra line and then 10-15 years later I got them right below my waistline.

Hope the pain isn't bad and that you get relief. It is not fun having them

Get yourself to the Doc tomorrow. I've been dealing with Shingles the last 3 weeks. The doc told me that you need to start on meds 3 days after the outbreak for them to be effective.

I hope you don't have them.
