Though I hadn't originally planned on making alot of my floral, I have and today sort of by accident I added shimmer to my silk flowers.... and it really does add a nice touch of shimmer/sparkle in the light... I am using mostly white/cream with blue hydrangea. I had some regular elmers glue and some fine scrap book white glitter and just brushed the edges of the white/cream silk blooms with the glue and the sprinkled on the glitter. The shimmer in the light is pretty. I would post a picture but the sparkle really doesn't show up in a pic, so just wanted to share if someone else might want a little shimmer(pixie dust, if you would like) on your floral or for a flower girl. I used very little glitter on the flower tips and not on every bloom. My DDs want it on their bouquets. Have fun.:goodvibes

I would love to see. . . can you post a pic?:surfweb:

sorry, brain is fried. just saw that it doesn't show up in pics.

Oh that's so pretty! I <3 Blue Hydrangeas and the sparkle really adds to the effect!

Great pics. Thanks. Was that your initial in the bouquet? I'm doing dd's flowers and she keeps changing her mind. Luckily I have until Jan 2010.

That is my dds initial in the bouquet my other dd will carry a mickey shaped pomander with her initial- there are pics in my PJ. good luck with all your plans....:goodvibes

That looks really nice! The glitter is very subtle and pretty. :)

May I ask where you got the silk flowers from? I was toying with the idea of making a backup bouquet of silk roses or something just in case my bouquet wilts too much by the morning of my MK photo shoot. I really don't feel like paying for Disney to refresh it hehe.

Thank you. :goodvibes I liked how they came out. I think all of my flowers have come from walmart on clearance, so very inexpensive.... I am trying to save $ where I can. good luck with all your plans:goodvibes
