Shhhhhh. It's a secret

We surprised my kids back in June of 2002. My kids at the time were 6 and 4. My parents have a beach house in Florida and the kids are use to going there. Well my son wanted to go somewhere different and low and behold he got what he asked for. We told them that we were going to FLorida, but not to the beach house--we were going somewhere different. Also told them that we would be driving for a long time. Thye wanted to go to dinsey but did not have a clue that disney was in Florida. Well we drove and drove and drove some more--it is a 12 hour drive. Stopped that night to sleep and for dinner--kids did not have a clue. Got up the next morning and began to drive some more--DD (4) went right back to sleep--onoy had 90 minutes to drive. DS (6) kept himself entertained with gameboy or tv. Everytime we passes a billboard his head would be done--then he would pop up and look around--never suspecting anything. He did ask why all these hotels were here in the middle of nowhere--told him that it was a great place for people to stop and take a rest. Well we are now getting close to the welcome to tdisney sign--so we tell son to wake up sister--he didn't want to --like it quite!! He finally woke her up as we were going under the welcome to disney sign---he about freaked out. They were so shocked. WE got to the security for all stars and the guard asked my son his name and he could not get it out-- WE stayed in the TOy Story building with a great view of BUZZ and WOODY!! It was a great trip--can't wait to go back in 7 days--yes the kids know.

I'm doing this for the first time in 27 days. Christmas morning at 6:00am to be exact. I haven't fine tuned my delivery yet but here are my idea's for suprising a 10 and 12 year old!

~ Make a dinner voucher (certificate) for lunch in Paris for the three of us with the true date and true time! and wait and see which one of my children is awake enough to figure it out! ( I stole this idea from a girl I worked with who actually went to disney more times in a year than I!!!)

~The savange hunt theme with the last clue in 2 large packages(their suitcases wrapped in wrapping paper) Same as above....wait and see who is awake enough to figure it out first!!

~ ?????????

My options are slim because we need to leave for the airtport at 6:00am and they will be up late(7 fishes and present opening till midnight).

All I know is this is the last time I will do a suprise(LOL). It's just about KILLING me with excitedment and anticipation and I have Noooooone to explode on...Single parent here! If we weren't planning a summer trip my (MANY) slips would have been noticed already!! I've been lucky so far but would not recommend this axiety to ANYONE!!! LOL

Have a great Disney Day all!!!!!

I'm a single parent too! I told grandma that we are going, because she is going with us and needs to make plans. But haven't told sisters, grandpa, or anyone else that we're going because I was afraid someone would say something to DS. Also, since they're not going, I didn't want them jealous (LOL). Anyway, my excitement has been AT A PEAK and it's NOT going away. Grandma can't talk about it because grandpa doesn't know. He's a stick in the mud and doesn't like ANYTHING Disney. He's Grumpy!!! I actually found the DIS Boards as a way to "let off some excitement steam!" Everyone here understands me!!!! (God bless all of you--it is only here that I am not looked upon as a totally obsessed Disney idiot!!!!!!)
