What have I missed? Why does the mention of a certain towncar company previously owned by rabbit get converted to asterisks on this site?

What did they do that was so terrible? I see people mention Tiffany and Mears and the others - what gives?

If I were to be interested in finding the posts about this company, is that still possible? Since I can't do a search for their name, how would I do it?

I had just about decided to use them after comparing prices and reading PassPorter. Now I'm wondering if that is such a good idea. :confused:

PassPorter has a coupon for Tiffany Towncar, so you might want to look into them. We've used them in the past and they were terrific. We'll be using FL Tours this trip in order to support a board sponsor.
 

I have never used the company in question but know someone who did and didn't get picked up at the airport.

I, on the otherhand, have used FL Tours and will do so in May. I originally picked FL Tours because they sponsor this sight and now will only use them because of excellent service. Annmarie
 
I posted a reply some time ago and mentioned the particular company and about how great they were and it was blocked. I actually contacted the people in charge of the boards and they told me they were writing false replys about themselves. They were great to us when we used them...such a shame.
 
After reading these boards, I just cancelled my ressie with Basik and went with Tiffany. Its hard to make a change but I am really nervous. Tiffany has over 50 vehicles-I am not worried anymore about being stranded at the airport.
 
Wow, things do indeed change in 12 months! I'm thinking I'll go with either Tiffany or FLTours based on what I've been reading.....too bad about "the company which shall not be named".

Final question on this topic is: What do you usually tip for each leg of the round trip between Orlando airport and a resort?

The total cost with Tiffany say, will be $85, after the coupon. Does $10 seem like a good amount each way??

I remember their doing it. At one point, they were rather abusive towards another poster that gave them a bad review. The posting style of Rabbit was pretty distinctive and it was easy to tell that he was the author of several different posts deriding the complaining poster.
 
We tip 15 each way, but we have two kids and we all have two carry-ons a piece, so they are usually juggling 8 bags.

We always use Tiffany Towncars, have always been thrilled with their service and plan to use them again in Sept. All the drivers we've had a pleasant, and prompt.
 
Boards like these are NOT free.

Florida Tours pays a fee and keeps the boards free for us. The board rules do allow us to post about our good and bad experiences with all companies. However, the company in question posted "advertisements" about themselves. They were warned and just got rude.

Actually, by that time Thom had taken over the company and Rabbitt was out of it entirely. They did have similar styles, but it was a different person.

Rabbitt is no longer in the car service business, he is working for a large corporation in a job which has nothing to do with transporting people around. He is very disappointed at the way in which the new owners of that company do business.
