yes. I never watched the first Mummy movie...and only saw the sequal b/c of my friends.....it was okay, but I never saw it again, nor felt like seeing the original..but I love the ride.

It can be alittle overwhelming at times, but so worth it.

Don't worry and have fun. Worse case scenario: close your eyes!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Closing eyes = bad. Then you miss all the cool effects, especially in the roller coaster portion.

ooooooooooooooooo...I loved the movies!!! (Watched The Mummy again on TBS Monday night with my 6yr old DS--he loved it too!)I love anything Egypt (I am a history teacher/would-be Egyptologist).

I haven't ridden yet, but am sure I will love it! Bring on the scare!!

Fun is a better word for it.
The only thing you need to watch out for, is at the top of the lift, you go thru fog, and can't see the other side. The car turns to the right real fast, so you need to hang on.

Always, always keep your eyes open on rides (except simulators -- then look to the side if you are bothered). Your brain has a much more difficult time processing when your eyes are closed. If you want to get sick, that is a sure way to do it! And anyway, Mummy is a very visual experience.

Yup. The whole experience is very visual, queue included. Because you never know if a minion or a scarab could be around that corner...

Just wondering if I should let my 8 year old daughter ride the mummy, I havent seen any height req . And if anyone could let me know how their kids reacted that would be really helpful! She loved the movies but im not sure about the ride!! Also does anyone know if the mummy has the child swap !Thanks a bunch

Height requirement = 48"

Mummy does have a child swap, just ask the Casting Director(s) outside about it. You can also bailout at the last moment...

As for reactions, I've seen multiple reactions, especially from kids. I've seen people coming off confused, excited, in tears, amazed, etc.

My 8 year old son doesn't like the Mummy ride at all. He won't say why but I think its probably the element of surprise that gets him...

However, this is the same boy that insisted on going to HHN 3 times! Went through most of the houses without issue and even sat down for a chat with a couple of chain saw guys!

Very bizarre what they like and don't....

If you like thrill rides, then you'll like the Mummy. It dosen't matter if you saw the movie or not.
