She's got her dress now where do I store it?

I am planning a trip down to DL for next year when my daughter is 4 and my son will be 2. We bought a Cinderella dress for my MM obsessed daughter and I am sure we will hope to get a photo with Cinderella and all that stuff, but I am wondering if the lockers at DL will able to hold the dress without it getting all balled up. So are the lockers at DL large enough to accomodate a dress for a 4 year old?

If I remember right there are some that can fit large backpacks, and even coolers. I believe the largest locker is something like $12 a day, and would be able to fit the dress well enough. :)

EDIT: I found a site that has the dimensions for the lockers, http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland/plan/disneyland-guest-services.htm I was wrong about it being $12 for the largest, it's $15. But just find measure how long the dress is if you don't want it wrinkled or folded. :D

She'll probably want to wear it all day or at least have easy access to it, so I wouldn't bother with a locker. When we visit DL my DD wears a tank top and shorts (or long sleeved t and leggings if it's cold) under her princess dress in case it gets in her way (e.g. climbing up Tarzan's Treehouse). I just take a plastic Target bag -- when she's not wearing the dress I fold the dress in half then roll it up and put it in the bag. It stores easily in the bottom of the stroller and we haven't had any problems with dresses getting wrinkled (or stolen -- hence the Target bag instead of a Disney bag.)

I agree with Alice. Have your dd wear her dress into the park and try to get Cinderella's photo as soon as you can before the dress gets wrinkled, etc. Then, she can decide to keep wearing the dress or you can roll it into a bag and put it in your stroller.

My girls wear theirs all day. I even have a picture of them soaked in their dresses after riding GRR! I would suggest a change of clothes if you are going to get soaked like that, but otherwise wear something light underneath and she can take off the dress if she wants.

Thanks for the information. I'll play it by ear and maybe just carry it around with us if need be. I can't wait to get back down to DL as I haven't been since I was a kid. All of the stories on here are making it harder for me to wait until next year.

On our first visit to Disneyland, I surprised my daughter with lunch at Ariel's Grotto. I had her Cinderella dress in our backpack--it was carefully folded into a large Ziplock. Yes, smushed into one of those and then the air pressed out. Those dresses are quite indestructible when it comes down to it...you would be surprised! You really don't need to baby the dress as much as you think you do.

I just folded the dress carefully down to the right size and then pushed it into the big Ziplock bag--and it worked. All the wrinkles shook right out and the dress looked perfect. It made it easy to stash the dress in our backpack.
