I just saw a news alert on MSNBC.com regarding a sheriff that was shot near WDW. Keep your eyes and ears open for the details.

It was at or near the Caribe Royale.

Just saw it on the local news as well...Looks like there is a ton of police around the area as one suspect is still at large!

I just read this, too. I don't know where the Caribe Royal is, though. Can anyone fill me in?

Glad I'm not there at the moment - although I'm sure there's absolutely nothing to worry about.

The Caribe Royale is located "minutes" from WDW and those 'other' places nearby at 8101 World Center Drive, Orlando.

I find it ironic that Caribe Royal is hosting a meeting where some of the state's top officials, including Attorney General Bill McCollum, will be meeting to discuss homicide rates, arrest and incarceration and poverty and violence!

They got all three suspects
The Caribe Royale is at the Other end of the Osceloa Parkway, past Gaylord Palms you make a left and then a right onto World Center Drive. There is a huge Marriott Conference Center/Hotel right there too. I only know this becasue I was chatting with my mom today and she told me where is was in realtion to Disney (She lives down there)
