I'm wondering if any one can help us with which is the best building to stay in at the Village?. In our group will be myself(34), DH (35), DM (61), DS (4), and DS (10 months). We have booked a 2 bed lock off.
I haven't stayed since the new pirate pool has been constructed, but I have a feeling my sons will love this. I do love the main pool, so being close to both would be nice. We'd also like a quiet room away from traffic noise. Along with location, are some of the interiors better than others?
Also, how do we make room requests? Should we just call and add it to our reservation?

Thanks so much.

Not sure if you have seen the resort map but here it is:

While the resort looks rather large, I found it very easy to walk around the resort. It was a quick walk from our building (building 11) to the main pool and only a few minutes more to walk to the marketplace (#12) which is right by the pirate pool (#18). Building 24 or 23 might be a nice compromise - close to the pirate pool but still a very easy walk to the main pool and restaurant area.

ETA: I realized I never answered the second half of your question - yes, the easiest way to make a building request is to call and give them a few options.

Thank you so much. I really like the looks of building 23, 24 or 26. Your input is appreciated, because the map does make everything look far from each other.

Do you happen to know which rooms have been refurbished most recently? As far as I can tell based on trip advisor it is key west, but I'm not interested in staying there with kids. Adults only trip, for sure! But other than key west, I'm wondering which rooms have been refurbished most recently.

The Key West Village had a "soft goods" update last fall. I believe the St. Augustine Village was done previous to that.

Does anyone know when they decide what room they select for you? I put in a request months ago but thought I would put the request in again closer to arrival.

We like to stay near the pirate pool. Building 26 is where we stayed in April. We stayed in Building 23 in January. We have also stayed in 25 which is also super close to pirate pool and within walking distance to the big pool. All of those buildings are.

The timeshare resorts don't generally get their trades from II/RCI (most of their volume) until 2 weeks prior to check-in. Rooms won't be assigned until then.

We are within two weeks so I called yesterday. They still had my requests that I called in earlier. Hopefully we will get a nice room location.

We just returned from our stay at SVV. What a beautiful resort. We did not get either of our choices in buildings, but we are glad for it. We requested Building 23 or 24 in St. Augustine area to be more in the center of the resort. Instead, we received 2nd floor of Bldg. 25. The great thing about this was that due to it raining a lot during our stay, it was nice to be close to the Market and the workout facility. I was a little concerned about hearing noise from upper floors but we heard nothing our entire stay.

I understand there is a shuttle service to Disney from SVV? Where in Disney do they drop you off and pick you up?

Last schedule I have is from 2015 at SVR, but the service is very similar at SVV.

Drop off was Epcot and then DAK. For MK, you would take the monorail from/to Epcot for the shuttle. No service was listed for DHS, although you could catch DTS from Epcot. At that time Sheraton was assigned to lane #44 in the bus area at both parks.
