Sheraton Vistana Villages, any good?

I just got a great deal thru my preferred guest card
and it is to stay here. I wondered what these were like?

anybody stay here and love it?
or hate it?

Hi - We stayed here May of 2002 and thought it was terrific. The villas (we had a 2 bedroom) were very large and nicely decorated. They were equipped with all the comforts of home...full kitchen, tv's, large washer/dryer and nice large jacuzzi in master.

The pool was beautiful. One end was a zero entry with a spray fountain for the little ones. There was a beautiful waterfall area as well as a restaurant/bar where you could order drinks or lunch or dinner while sitting poolside. They also had floats that you could buy or rent. In addition, there was also a quieter, secluded pool primarily for adults.

From what I remember they had a small playground and grills outside to use. We didn't, however. The resort also had a small fitness center if I recall correctly.

The one thing that I would ask for next time is for a villa on the top floor. The reason being was that I thought it was a little dark for my liking. I love the sun coming in the windows and being on the bottom floor it was just a little too dark for me.


The drive to Disney or SeaWorld was extremely easy. Maybe about 10 minutes to Disney lots?

There is also a Publix very close by.
The location is also nice because you are on I-Drive but not in the thick of all the traffic.

I think you will be pleased with this resort.

We haven't stayed at Sheraton Vistana Villages but we did drive in and walk through the resort one evening. It's positively gorgeous! The photos on the Sheraton website do not do it justice at all. Enjoy!!!

I agree with HeatherC, she described it well.

It really is a gorgeous place with immaculate rooms and landscaping, a fantastic pool, the deli food was really good (we ate sandwiches and salads by the pool).

The villa itself was really roomy and the beds were very comfy.

I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone, we really enjoyed our stay here.

edited to add: it's a beautiful place to walk around also, there is a huge pond with frogs, ducks, fountains...we walked to the pool via a footbridge with a waterfall, took the time to sit on a bench and take in the landscaping...the lobby is gorgeous as well.

THE VISTANA IS FABULOUS. STAYED THERE TWICE BUT I'LL AGREE ASK FOR AN UPPER FLOOR THE VIEWS ARE BETTER
