Has anyone stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Village?

We received a great offer from them (something like $32 a night!) and Daxx figured that it might be worth it if we're only going for just a long weekend. As for me (Daxx's wife), I would rather stay on-site and spend the extra $$ for a value resort even if we're going for a quick jaunt. Anyone stayed there? Opinions? Thoughts?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

this is a wonderful offer - make sure you include their day in your calculations.... so if you want to do 3 days - do 4 days - they should only take 2 hours but it could be longer.

where did you get the Sheraton Vistana Villages for $32 a day?

I have never seem that rate.

are you sure you are staying at the Sheraton Vistana Village or just a hotel close to it?

It is a beautiful resort. We stayed there earlier this year. It is on the smaller side but I considered that a plus. Everything was new and beautiful. Great location in Orlando as well. Go for it.

the vistana is beautiful, i just bought a time share there, jusmp all over it at that price, just make sure you don't get burned(seems too cheap).

We received a letter and booklet in the mail from Sheraton Vacations. It's addressed to us and includes the following information. It appears to be on the up-and-up.

5 days, 4 nights accommodations in Orlando plus a gift of $100 to use at area attractions, such as WDW, Seaworld or Universal Orlando theme parks. All this for $129.

There's a "preferred reservation" code that I have to give if we choose to do this

Of course, we have to attend a "personally guided" ownership presentation. But, what else can you expect for $32 a night!?

We can "reserve" a slot w/a deposit and then decide what dates we want to go down. We can pay the remainder when we get there.

So, that's the scoop. Thanks for the info. you've all provided already!

Village is on International Bouvelard. Is newer and smaller (at this time)

Resort is closer to WDW (very close to DD) - is older and has more stuff.

We got this deal earlier this year. It is correct, but it may be for a smaller unit? If you want to upgrade to a bigger one bedroom or a two bedroom it will cost you more. Still a good deal though.

I figure since there are only 2 adults and 1 child, and we're just sleeping there, size makes no difference! Still considering the offer ... don't know if I want to deal w/the timeshare spiel!

Really, they are not so bad. Just be prepared to say no and don't argue with them. You get a free breakfast, free atraction tickets or money, and the ability to stay at a nice resort on the cheap. All for 90 minutes of your time. I've attended a number of them and i have yet to buy. It just doesn't add up for me (although I do own a timeshare in Cape Cod which does).
