Sheraton Vistana Resorts Cascades

Hi All,

We check in to the SVR on Sunday. I just called to confirm everything and she told me that we had been assigned to Cascades but could not give me a building number. Does anyone know how far the walk is from Cascades to the Fountains area? I saw the map and it looks like a good sized distance but wanted to know if anyone could tell me off hand.

The distance varies depending on where within Cascades you're staying and where you're going to in the two Fountains sections. From the Cascades building that furthest to the front of the resort it's about a half mile back to the Fountains pool area that's sort of between Fountains I and Fountains II - the walk should take no more than 10 minutes for a reasonably able walker to cover that distance. From the closest Cascades building to that same Fountains pool area it's no more than a quarter mile, a four or five minute walk.

It's a good distance but you can call the lobby and they will send the shuttle for you. At least, they did that last April for my parents.

Why do you want to leave the Cascades section for the Fountains? The Cascade pool area is nice. There is an activity center, a restaurant and a general store near the Cascade area.

Thanks for the replies. That's good to know that they will send the shuttle. Not looking to leave Cascades just wanted to know how far we might be from the food court. My parents are going with us and my mom has some trouble walking long distances so it's good to know that they will send the shuttle.

There's a market/deli in the Cascades section. You might find you use that more than trekking over to Fountains.

You can also have food delivered from the food court but in my opinion it's insanely overpriced. We ordered pizza last year and the bill was well over $70.00. It wasn't an overly large order either. It is just as easy to leave the property to grab something to bring back or eat out.

We'll be there the same time as you. If you see a blond, handicap mom say 'Hi". Although, we hang out at the Falls pool because the kids love the pool slide and it's sooooo much warmer than the Cascades pool. We'll be towing parents with us too! LOL.

Thanks for the replies everyone. We leave tomorrow and I just started packing. Talk about waiting until the last minute. MinnieForMe have a great trip. From the looks of it we will be having great weather. If you see a curly haired girl at the pool with freckles and two little girls running around making her crazy that's me.

HEY we were there two years ago when you were and we'll be back again next week too! (4/22-4/29) I think we're staying in Fountains this time. Did the diamond lane and we'll see what they give us! We'll probably take a meander over to the Falls pool though as that was 'our' pool last time and we loved it! have a great trip!

I filled out the Diamond Lane earlier this week and they sent me a confirmation email today and also noted that our room COULD be available as early as 2 o'clock on Sunday. Crossing my fingers. Early check-in would be great. We stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Villages last year and they were busy that week and our room wasn't available until 4:30. We've been assigned to Cascades so hopefully we will like our room.
