Sheraton Vistana Resort

Hi

My family and I are staying at the resort the week of May 15th via an exchange through RCI.

I read through the horror stories about exchanges, but we are planning to request a renovated room via the pre-registration form. I also would like to request the Fountains I or the Springs bc of the layout. We have small children and it seems the bedrooms are seperated by a wall from the living room and kitchen vs on opposite sides of the unit. My kids wake up often in the middle of the night and I'm really concerned about them getting disoriented trying to find my room.

Does anyone know if these layouts have changed with the remodel or are there other sections with the same layout as these?

My other question is if I book a few days prior to our week, will we be able to stay in the same unit?

No layouts changed during the renovations.

If I remember correctly, Vistana does have the latches on the tops of the doors. We also had wandering children and it's always a concern if they just have the deadbolts that you can open with just the door knob from the inside. We usually pile chairs in front of the door of those places in hopes that a wandering kid would make enough noise to wake us up if they opened the door.
