Hi, everyone, advice needed please.

My family/extended family currently has 2 condos reserved at Sheraton Vistana Resort in September. Am beginning to get nervous because you don't know what you get until you check in. Just started reading about Windsor Hills on these boards, and am considering switching.

Which resort listed above is the shortest drive to WDW? I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of driving back and forth.

Any advice/opinions are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Chris

I'm not much help, as we are considering our first vacation home rental as well, and I am having a hard time making any decisions! I feel cross eyed from all the time I have spent looking at rentals online.
Good luck making a decision!

They would be about the same but to different parts of Disney. WH is about 5 minutes from Animal Kingdom and Vistana is about the same from the Downtown Disney/ Epcot area.

The others are right. It depends which park you are going to. We do really like the Lake buena vista area and we loved staying at Vistana. We were in the Lakes section both times. Nothing to complain about at all. Very easy drive.

When we stayed at a condo last trip in the area that WH is (and we will be staying at WH in April) we thought is was a very easy drive also. In fact, my DH said he thought it was so easy, he wanted to stay in that area next time. That was another factor in booking WH for next spring.

But I think either drive is fine. We do love Epcot and MK the most, and I think (Brian tell me if I'm wrong) the LBV area would be closer for those. but DH still wanted the other area despite knowing that.

But you might not.............I think I would compare the actual places to stay than the drive, in this situation, but that's just me. Happy planning. :)

Many thanks to everyone! Like Disgal, MK and Epcot are our favorites as well, so I guess we will keep our Vistana reservations. We have always stayed onsite before, so this is a totally new experience. Need the extra room with teenagers, as well as free Internet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed this works out. I truly appreciate everyone's advice!

here's wishing you much pixie dust for your trip! :wizard: You will enjoy the space, that's for sure.

One thing we did was register with Diamond Lane, I think it was called. You probably already know that. Other Vistana threads talk about it also.

Thank you disgal!

I am confused about Diamond Lane, some threads make it sound like you need to be an owner or rent from an owner to use it. I'll research it further now that we will definitely be staying there.

Thanks again to everyone for their help!

We stayed at Vistana a few years back, now we stay at Windsor Hills. Vistana is a time-share, Windsor Hills homes are privately owned - both are nice resorts, you will enjoy your vacation at either one.
