I need a place for 4 for three nights before our Disney stint. Staybridge Suites LBV is our old standby...love the location and enough room for us all. AAA has a great rate at Sheraton Vistana Resort for a 2 bdr...$101/night. Am I crazy to pass this up? I'm a creature of habit to a fault so I need a little push for change.

We have been owners at SVR since 2000 and have never regretted our purchase. Most all of the units have been recently remodeled and are very nice. Full kitchen and laundry. etc. Several pools, etc. Since you are renting, you may not get a remodeled unit, but they will still be ok. The property is right across Interstate 4 from Downtown Disney so it is close by. They have a shuttle bus, but I would recommend a car for transportation. For $100 a night there is no better deal. We've paid more than a $100 at a Super 8 and couldn't wait to check out. If you get a non-remodeled room you will be happy with your decision. If you get one of the newly remodeled rooms you will be VERY happy with your decision to stay there.

do it, do it, do it! Most of the units are redone so you'll probably get one and you will be happy. Great location, nice grounds, very decent units... and at a good price. do it.

You should really enjoy it. We stayed there this past July and had a great time!!

I have the same question and was offered the same rate. My other option would be the Hilton Parc Soliel (sp). for just about $10 less. Which would you choose? Also how much is parking there if you have a rental car and how much is parking at the parks if you were to drive to each one. We plan to not do the dining plan this time because we never use all the meals and snacks. I assume with having a kitchenette we can make sandwhiches, freeze an ice pack and bring into the parks right?

I've never been to Parc Soleil by Hilton but it rates very high on tripadvisor. I am going to say if you can get a 2 bedroom for $100 a night there...do it! The rates I'm seeing for that property are much higher. May I ask though where you're finding that rate? (for next time!!!!) :3dglasses

Parc Soleil is brand new, and apparently very nice. Two of what will eventually be 6-8 towers are now open. Construction is ongoing, but by all reports is not disturbing. Even though I own Sheraton, I would like to try the new Hilton club.

Vistana does not charge for parking at the resort. I haven't heard of parking charges at Hilton either, but a quick call or check on the web should confirm that.

Parking at Disney is $14/day; you pay once and can park at any Disney facility for the day.

Most Vistana units have a full kitchen and laundry, except the smaller half of the two bedroom lockoffs that only have a kitchenette. Certainly enough to have a breakfast and pack a park lunch. We usually carry a "snack" lunch that does not require cooling however, beef jerky, carrots, celery, etc. Freeze some water bottles so they are still cold at lunch.

Have a great trip!

You can only use the meal plan if you stay onsite. :)

We just got back from SVR and it was beautiful. Absolutely no complaints.

where did you find a triple A rate for that amount ?

On the AAA site. My dates are Jan 6 - Jan 10. Both Sheraton Vistana's (villas and resort) have very appealing rates listed. To get the 2 bedroom for $101 per night, I had to book a non-refundable rate. :3dglasses

Thanks. My dates did not give as good of rates at Vistana as yours but I was able to find a great rate on the AAA website and not needing the membership. I may buy a gift membership though just because. They had better "best available rates" on their hotels than the AAA rate or the hotels website rates for Caribe Royale. I needed a second night there but initially figured Caribes rates were too high for my additional day until I found a great rate on the AAA website booking engine. 119.00 + tax of 12.5 percent Thanks
