Sheraton Vistana Questions

I know there are experts here on Vistana, and I am considering it for our next trip. I have a few questions:

1. Can you please list the sections from oldest to newest?

2. Which is the nicest section and why?

3. Are there multiple pool/activity areas, and which is the best for small kid to be near?

4. If I book on SkyAuction how do I know what section I'll be in? Does it matter what day I check in?

The newest setion is Cascades and then Lakes. I am not sure about the rest. There are certain check in days for certain sections and I know that others will post the days. Do a search on this board on the Sheraton Vistana and you will find tons of info. We stayed there last March in the Lakes section. It was beautiful. There are many pools and one with zero entry. I think it was in the Lakes section. My kids loved it there. We are trying out the Vistana Villages this year. It is smaller and I have heard that the rooms are all decent. It seems to be the luck of the draw at the Vistana Resort. You could get a great room or a old room that you may not be thrilled with. There are some older sections that are nice. I have seen and heard nice things about the Fountain section. Good Luck!

There are pool activities scheduled for the kids during the week. YOU'll receive a calendar at check-in. The Lakes and Cascades pools are the only zero depth pools on the resort if you have real young ones. They also have fountains in the pool.

As far as skyauction goes, I think alot of people have reported good luck getting the newest Cascades, but don't think that's a hard and fast rule. You won't know which section when you book skyauction.
