We stayed at the Vistana last March and we really liked it. Are the Marriott timeshares as nice?

Cypress Harbour but Horizons and Grande Vista are nice too.

I haven't stayed in the ones really close to WDW - Imperial, Sabal or Royal Palms - but one day!!!!

I will be traveling with kids ages 5 and 7. The pool and a convient location are key. The draw back at Vistana is that the sections are not all equal. Are the Marriotts like that too? I don't want to worry about being placed in a really old unit.

then go with Cypress Harbour - Grande vista management didn't seem to care about the units yet to rehab - they were letting them remain dirty - very unacceptable in any Marriott.

the Palms are at Disney backdoor - like the Sheraton Vistana - but with the construction going on at Marriott world center I just don't know. these timeshare are on Marriott World Center property.

with Cypress Harbour you have two ways of getting to Disney - either turn right and get on I4 - or turn left and get on International Drive.

I'll be staying at the Cypress Harbour in two weeks! My biggest concern is driving from there to Disney--simply because we have never stayed off-site before. So there are two ways to get to Disney from the resort? Do you think the staff would be able to give us directions? I have done the map quest or yahoo maps but I really need more for some reason. What confused me was that to reverse the directions back to the resort from Disney, they were on different roads than getting there. Suggestions?

yes, the I4 exit to your Marriott is SW exit. just turn right off I4 and don't turn until you are pass Seaworld at the traffic light in front of the Renaissance (HGVC will be across the street) - then turn right followed by an immediately left.

most of the time I4 will get you back and forth faster - however at times it moves at a snail pace.

then I just go straight on ID - same coming back too.

you turn left out of CH - then at the traffic light turn right - stay on this road - get in the right lane - then the road dead ends (it does this when it meets 417 tollroad to the airport) turn right - now you are on 536 which becomes Epcot Center drive. this is probably the easiest route to take - same going and coming - however at Disney property you can get in their circle going back on this road - just be carefully and read the signs.

I stayed at Sheraton Vistana in December and just went to Marriott Grande Vista in September. I would choose Marriott, I thought it was much much nicer and they have the coolest indoor playground that my 3 year old will not stop talking about since we got back Sept 24th. The pools there are georgous!!! If you get a renovated room they are beautifully decorated. I stayed in building 98. It was AWESOME!!! Only con over the Sheraton is that Disney is a bit further away from Marriott. Worth the extra 5 minutes i must say!!!
Any questions???
