All the reviews I have found on this resort basically say great hotel- louse=y customer service! I have booked a 2 bedroom villa for 8 of us. We will not be there much but I do hope I have made the right choice! I am worried about smoky smell as this will be a huge problem fior me and my kids. I am also worried about cleanliness as this will be a huge issue for my SIL

I'm pretty sure this is Sheraton Vistana Villages and not the main Sheraton Vistana that you're staying at ? If it's on International Drive it is VV.
I've heard mostly positive reviews about the Villages here on the DIS. If you do a search, you should find a few threads on this resort.

We stayed at VV this past November and were extremely pleased with our 2-bedroom villa (ask to be put in the Keys!). Customer service and housekeeping WERE horrible; check-in was a nightmare, they would not let a single person check in prior to 4pm. (so be warned!) and housekeeping seemed to have an attachemnt to their paper products as we were always lacking in tissues and toilet paper.

However, the villa itself was gorgeous, nicer than my home, LOL. Beautifully furnished. The only thing I didn't care for was the washer and dryer, they are electric. Laundry took forever.

I'm sure you'll have a great time despite the flaws.

Send me a private message with your e-mail address if you want to see the pics of our villa.

We stayed there last year on one of those timeshare promos. I have to say that we were quite pleased with the place. We stayed at the Marriott Grande Vista prior to that and we liked it better, but VV was still above average. We did stay in a refurbished unit and had no smells or problems. I agree their customer service was a bit off ie.. took a long time to get towels to the room.

Loved your video Rec213. It's at the main Vistana (Fountains section), not the Villages, but still a very entertaining video. Thanks for posting.

Our first trip to Disney we stayed in a two bedroom at Vistana Villages. The suite was clean and nice with plenty of room for our family of 5 plus 2 grandparents. He kitchen was a bit sparse on cookware, plates, etc, but overall it was an excellent price for that number of people.

Last year we stayed at Horizons by Marriott. It was a bit further away, but very clean, newer, less crowded and the check-in and staff was more pleasant.

For this summer, I just booked Worldquest. We don't need quite as much space and was looking for a great deal since we are splurging and staying onsite at Universal later in the week. This place appears to be very new, got excellent reviews, and you can't beat $99 per night for two bedrooms, living room w/dining area, full kitchen and laundry.
