My co worker just got back from her trip using the 1.13 a night room. She loved it. The people were great, the pool was great and the location was even better. They spent most of their time at the hotel since it was a total relaxation trip. They had problems with their sliding door and were given a credit. the pool bar is very expensive for drinks (mixed drink is 9.00) and food. the slide was great for adults and kids alike.
One warning is that they require a picture id when checking in. She had two rooms but one was 2 days later check in and when she re-checked in she had to show the picture id again. So just be prepared. She rented a car but did not need it at all and they ate at a variety of restaurants. She really liked the Joe's crab place or maybe it was crabby joe's, she wasn't sure.

since 9/11 most places require a picture Id (driving license in most states) to check in or even to enter resort grounds.

Disney definitely does.

the $1.13 rate (also .98 & .93) was a computer programming blip back from 1-2 days in May or June (?) from the Holiday Inn Downtown Disney that allowed people to reserve rooms at that rate (me included). The Holiday Inn DTD has been closed for refurbishment since 2004 & had planned to re-open in August 2005 but the re-opening has been pushed back twice now - I think until January 2006. Anyway, the Holiday Inn honored the price mistake but had to move people to the Sheraton Safari if they wanted to keep the reservations for the dates they reserved or they could opt to change dates until when the hotel reopens.
