Sheraton Safari vs Courtyard Marriott

By going through lastminutetravel, I can get the Sheraton Safari and the Courtyard by Marriott for the same price. Does anyone know if the Sheraton charges a resort fee? I know they charge $6 to park. The Courtyard is free to park and free internet. This is only for a one night stay on July 2nd prior to moving onsite. We have never stayed offsite and just want a clean, safe place to stay close to DTD with a decent pool. I'm open to any suggestions!

There is no resort fee but I've heard bad things about the Safari. I'd probably opt for Courtyard but that's just my opinion.

Haven't stayed at the Courtyard, but they all seem to be pretty consistent. We have stayed at the Safari. For the one night I would go with the Courtyard.

If you are referring to the Palm Parkway Courtyard, we have stayed there. The pool area was wonderful and warm, especially at night. Pretty hot tub waterfall. Great breakfast. Definitely a value. Not too bad of a hike to DTD, but it is a walk.

Sheraton Safari had a great snake pool for the kids. Closer to DTD. If I remember correctly, services were al a carte ie breakfast, internet, parking. We had a double room with a pull-out couch with TV.

If I had to choose today, it would be the Courtyard.

I'm guessing it's the Courtyard on Palm, they run a lot of specials. Older property but still okay, pool not as nice as Marriott Village.

Yes, it's the Courtyard on Palm. I'm continuing to watch lmt and other sites, but right now, it looks like that's where we will be. I keep telling myself it is saving about $50 over Pop, and for one night it's okay.

Not sure how you are booking the room (directly from the Marriott website?) but I also have a cash stay there soon and by checking the AAA box on the website the room rate included breakfast.

I've also had good luck recently getting decent rates at the Hampton Inn---nice queen sized beds and free breakfast. Basic pool.
