I appear to be the lone dissenting voice here, but we were there 3 weeks ago and did not have a good experience. We arrived 30 minutes or so before 3PM check in time and none of the 3 rooms we had reserved were ready...long story but we ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours to get into any rooms and had to settle for standard rooms overlooking the busy street when deluxe/rooms and a suite had been reserved. No one seemed to know why rooms weren't ready, nor did they seem to really much care. In fact the front desk manager told us "well 5:30 does not seem to be an unreasonable check in time"
We were not the only people waiting....the line to see the manager stretched 1/2 way across the lobby by 5:15!! People were getting pretty hostile by that time (the lady in front of me had been there since 1PM waiting on a room.
In desperation we take what we can get (standard rooms) with no offer to refund part of rate or Starwood points for any of the rooms. When we got off the elevator the hallway was lined with piles of dirty linens and trash bags and old room service dishes. Standing at the end of the hall were 5 (count em 5) housekeepers, laughing and having cokes and chatting. When we left for dinner over an hour later 3 of the 5 were still there yucking it up with each other (and the lobby was full of people still waiting on rooms!)
It was after 9PM before the hallway was picked up.
The rooms were nicely decorated, but again poor repair seemed to be the word...our sink was completely clogged and another of the rooms had an AC unit that sounded like a monster truck rally every time it kicked on. We called in both problems, but no one ever came to see about either of them. I grabbed the ice bucket and went to get ice and when I opened the lid I found a moldy peach floating in nasty water...gag...it had been there a LONG time.
When I trooped down to the desk to inquire about "the Sheraton Promise" they very grudginly gave me breakfast vouchers for all and said they would "adjust" the room rates and Starwood points for the downgraded rooms....that never happened.
Fortunately we were only there one night and it doesn't seem to be worth a big hassle ...but we left saying "Never again"
A lady I stood by in line (for a good part of the afternoon) told me she had stayed there often for several years, and it had recently been sold to a new franchisee so was under different management...we agreed it wasn't very well managed....at least that night it wasn't.
