Hi Everyone:

Travelzoo has a deal, Book by Sept. 29,2006 for Sheraton Safari Hotel: $59 -- Includes weekends and complimentary shuttle to all Disney parks
Stay through Dec. 21.

It says to mention promo code: Wild Times but when i called to book ours last night it couldn't be found here it's under HAVE A WILD TIME the rep. was very nice!

My boyfriend and I have been going to Disney for the past 4 years and have stayed here every time. One year we tried the clarion main gate, that was the worst hotel we got out of that hotel and stay the rest of our week at the Sheraton Safari. :cool1:

Thanks for posting this, Kdee! We stayed here last year with the same deal, and it was fabulous. I always said that if we could get that price for dates this year, I wouldn't hesitate to book, and true to my word, I didn't! My husband even agreed to split our stay to take advantage of the great deal, and he HATES to change hotels! I booked right after I saw your post. I booked online without any problems.

Eeyorerules, you just need a credit card to confirm the reservation, you don't pay until you check out. You can still cancel up to 2 days before check in if you like, without penalty.

We are staying in Orlando for 9 nights, the last 7 will be at Orbit One in a 2 bdrm condo.(7 day stay through skyaucton) We actually had the first 2 nights booked at Orbit One as well, but we liked Sheraton Safari enough to give up the extra space for two nights (and it will save us about $90. as well!) Regardless of how nice the accomodations are, 2 nights is about our limit of all of us in one room so it works out really well.

yes that is correct no pre-pay - EEyorerules;

That's great FayeW!

I'm glad I could help

I can't wait to go in December :cool1:

That is a great rate!Just went to there site and plugged in nov 22-25 and it was like double that amount...AAA discount was not much better......The owners of this board was way out too...Wow a great deal!

We didn't get the WILDTIME discount because it was not available for the time we will be at WDW but the link through travelzoo .... www.travelzoo.com .....provided another code which gave us the $59 rate.

They refer to it as Business Deluxe City View. Anyone know what that means?

Great Deal

I called yesterday before I booked to find out the difference between the "traditional" room, and the 'business deluxe" room. The only difference is that the traditional room has a table and 2 chairs (very nice, actually), and the business room has a desk instead.

Last time, our view was of the back parking area, but beyond that was a lake and greeenspace, so it was pretty nice to look at as the sun was coming up.

I assume both rooms have 2 queen beds????

Yes. Although you might want to double check because I THINK you could chose either King or 2 Queens for either category. I chose the "Traditional/2 Queen" room from the list of available rooms when I booked.

* Terms/Conditions:
Promotion valid on new bookings only. Not valid on group bookings. 1 night non-refundable deposit once confirmed. Offer based on availability and other restrictions may apply.

I get the weekly updates from Travelzoo and saw the great deal on the Sheraton Safari. Someone posted you could cancel up to 2 days prior to your stay without penalty but the Travelzoo site states a different policy - so I'm a little confused at to what applies. Can anyone confirm for sure that you can cancel with no penalty up to 2 days prior to arrival? I would hate to lose a one night's deposit if I had to cancel for some reason. The copy/paste from the Travelzoo site is above.

That's a great rate! I see the suites are only $99 per night. :thumbsup2

Yes you can cancel up to days prior. The following is directly from my confirmation e-mail from Sheraton

"Guarantee Rules and Cancellation Policy
Your room is guaranteed with a(n) VISA card.
Cancel by 6pm Hotel time 2 Day(s) prior to avoid 1 Night penalty
Room taxes may be charged on penalties."

Does anyone know how the shuttle work? What is the schedule to the parks? Are the convenient?

I just booked! Thanks to all!

FWIW, I couldn't get the $59 rate online...it was showing as $79. But I called and spoke to the representative who handled it with no problem. I think with tax we are paying around $63 or so.

Oh and you pay when you get there....cancel up to 2 days before with no penalty.

Having some issues with the CSR. She can't seem to find the promotion and can only offer AAA discount. Hunh?

Edit: Ok, called the hotel directly and got transferred twice and finally got someone who new about it and got a room booked for $59.99/night for two nights! Woo hoo!

Thank you thank you for posting this. I had a room booked at BW for our first night, 108.00 a night after taxes and fees, this room is only going to cost me about 65.00 total. That's an extra 43.00 in my pocket ... which I am sure Disney will find some way of getting.

Thank you soooo much! I was able to book Nov. 22nd-24th so my mom can come up from So. Fla to see me for thanksgiving and I can still make it to work (black friday ewww) on Friday morning!!!

Thanks! I just booked it. I've been putting off booking the first 2 nights we will be at disney since I was just looking for a cheap, clean, smoke free room. When disney released the room only discounts for our travel dates I called but no values were available so I knew we would be staying off site but couldn't decide where to stay. This rate made the decision easier. :thumbsup2
