I can't decide where to stay. Sherton is $185 for the night and 8 days of parking, while Days Inn is $129 for the night and 8 days of parking and a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes. We will be arriving back home at 10:30 on a Sunday night. Which one do you think? Is $56 more worth the non hassel of getting the shuttle? Or can anyone recommend a hotel at Bradley that they used for the Park N Fly.
Thanks,
Shelby

Never used the Park-and-Fly at BDL, but would suggest saving yourself $56 and
going with the Days Inn. They share shuttle service with the local parking lots.
You're only a 5 minute drive from the airport with the shuttle. Take the $56 plus tax and spend it on something nice at Disney.... a better ROI. Just my opinion. ;)

We stayed at the Days Inn in Jan. and it was a good experience. They have a newly redecorated lobby area where they have comp. coffee & tea 24hrs. and a very nice continental breakfast in the am starting at 5:00 I believe.

We had a bad snow storm the morning we left and the van was there in plenty of time it took less then 5mins to get from the hotel to the Delta gate in bad weather. I would stay with them again.

Happy traveling!

sorry I can't be of more help, but my sister lives there and said there is a Ramada. you may want to give'em a call..

I can tell you who to avoid -
Holiday Inn Express. We used them one time about 3 years ago and, while the shuttle was fine for getting to the airport they didn't want to pick us up!
I called for a pickup and the manager told me they were short staffed that day and wouldn't be able to come get us. I had a heck of a time convincing him that my family really couldn't live there at the baggage carousel.
He finally got in the van himself and picked us up.

Won't use them again.

Is $56 worth the convenience to you? It is to me.

I did the Sheraton Park, Stay, and Fly a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE it. The hotel is IN the airport (and your car stays in a covered garage). I got up in the morning, took the elevator to the lobby, checked out, and walked to the airline check-in line.

When I arrived back at Bradley, I picked up my luggage and walked to the Sharaton garage. No shuttles, no waiting, parking already paid for.

$56 it worth it to me. I don't have to worry about (or plan) shuttles, traffic, or things outside of my control.

Days Inns are gross and dirty I was in one in Rhode Island and there were blood on the sheets... That days inn is in a bad area as well.....

I love the Sheraton. With my twins it was well worth it for the early flight! The inside pool is not heated in January, though! Don't forget to add the tips in for shuttle and bags, etc. It may be a bigger difference but I do think its worth it!

I don't find the area to be "bad" as previously stated by another poster. It is across from the airport so that you can watch the planes take off and land from the lobby. It is located in an area where there are several other hotels as well as most of the shuttle services.

We found it to be clean and recently redone. There were several US AIR pilots & FA's staying there the night we were there.

We did have someone drop us off so the only shuttle we needed was to get our plane in the morning we were picked up by family at the airport for our return home. Getting a shuttle can be a hassle from the airport (Again I have no idea how prompt Days Inn is in picking you up after the call them) so I can understand that staying at the Sheraton elimates that as an issue. We are gone for over 10days so the package at the Sheraton doesn't cover our length of stay

We live right near Bradley airport. you might want to check out the Ramada Inn, and the Hampton Inn. The Hampton is new and the Ramada has been recently refurbished. I believe both offer shuttle service. The Days Inn is right across the street from the Ramada. I've never been inside that one, but it looks nice. When we have people come to town w/ families too large too stay at our house, they usually opt for the Ramada or Hampton.

Honestly the Sheraton is pretty warn down. True, it's right at the airport...but I can't believe they charge that much more. it is really in need of a facelift! (the company where I worked use to hold it's Christmas parties there and stopped b/c it was just so threadbare.)

hope this helps. :goodvibes

Well we ended up booking Days Inn since they had a special and it was $104.00 for the hotel and 9 days of parking, I called the Sheraton and it was $185.00 for the night however it was only for 7 days of parking including the night we were staying at the hotel, so they wanted an additional $17.00 per night to park so their total was going to be $219.00 before tax so we took the $104.00 since it is only for 1 night. Thanks for all the replies.
