Shelter Island 5K (San Diego)?

Anyone done this run? My family and I will just happend to be on our Disneyland/ San Diego vacation, staying at Shelter Island on this day. Anyone done this? Am I crazy to consider this while on vacation? LOL Also, my daughter (9) runs tracks and XC. I know she can do a 5K. I see that it gives a separate price for kids under 12. Anyoe know a minimum age for this race? Thanks!

I have no info on the race but think adding a race to vacation is a lot of fun. I did so that last 3 times I went on a vacation that wasn't a running or biking trip. It makes you feel like you accomplished something and gives you the opportunity to run in a new city and get a race shirt from somewhere else. I always try to add a local event to any trip now.

I say go for it!

If there is age requirements they will usually have the info available. If you cannot find it, there should be a way to contact an organizer to get that info.

Often find myself taking a vaca around the events in which I will participate. It is a wonderful way to see places and get event medals too! Double win situation!
