So it's your opinion that day guests did not meet these characters? Not fact?

I would hate for facts to get in the way of your agenda. Because it was evident from all reports of last weeks events day guests were able to meet the characters.

And really, the children? Even if it was private, which it wasnt, I'm sure every 5 year old Parisian is devastated at not being able to meet Milo Thatch. Sometimes it's not about the kids.

I'm sorry??? It's not all about the kids??? I think it's more for the kids..... Yes, adults like Disney, but, so do kids, and I bêt there r a lot of kids who wud want to meet milo and the other characters....

And, u r sooooo well informed on this, I assume u were there???

I never said that.
Perhaps a small number of guests managed to meet these new characters but they were there for Disney Dreamers, not scheduled meet and greets therefore they could not have been met by the vast public.

Were you there? Can you enlighten us?

I for one regularly visit the parks and have never met the UP characters or Roger Rabbit or the additional mice from Cinderella - I do have to question if you have or do regularly visit DLP if, as in your earlier post, you presume they are regularly seen at DLP.

My agenda, if I was bothered to formulate one, would be all about the children but then as you don't regularly post on the DLP forum you wouldn't have any idea of what brings me to DLP -umm that would be my 4 and 7 year olds.
Yes young and old have the chance to enjoy DLP alike but to say sometimes its not about the kids is plain ridiculous. Its Disneyland Paris, not a Sandals resort. It is geared towards families.

I stand by my opinion. This was a sham that was waved in the face of anyone that couldn't afford to be part of it and until I see a positive result, like the characters being made permanent as a by product of Disney Dreamers, I'll stand firm on my opinion.

I think everyone on here should calm down a bit.

On the plus side though, remember Disney Parks (all) generally don't allow the booking / privatising of their park during peak season, when the prices are higher and all* of the rides are running.

I personally would have been far more gutted if i'd gone on the Sun deal and half the rides were closed, than going whenever and missing out on characters - that I wouldn't even know i'd missed.

Yes it definitely would have been sad for anyone who was there for the day only but I also wouldn't like to have been trying to explain to our kids for the duration that these extras were not for the normal visitors.

Elaine we need your calming influence! :flower3:

It just shocked me the level of hostility from some posters! The boards are friendly but there are some people with ahem hem agendas but I can clarify I have no agenda :rolleyes1

Goodness me, I'm amazed that this little thread has warranted such attention from new posters! Not that everyone's not welcome of course, provided they adhere to DISboard guidelines and keep to the friendly spirit of this board.

I think the whole concept that there might be 'sour grapes' comes from the initial promotion of the Disney Dreamers event that made it sound like it was something that was available to the general public for everyone to be part of.

IMO the general consensus is that it's a shame if parts of the parks were closed off to the general public rather than holding the private event out of hours as per usual.

As to the new characters, if they were available to all ie as in the parade even if only for one day then I think that's brilliant. If they're going to be around for future use then even better. If not, then it's a huge shame but since when has life been fair ..... :confused3

I'm now going to close this thread as I think it's run it's course.
