3 hours have passed.
We are still on page 181.
No one else has visited.
It's 64 humid degrees with hazy sun. Possible showers later today.

Hi Sarah (and everyone else!)

It was a busy camp morning for the Was's
we would still be at church if DS didn't have an away game (now)

the kids were to wear their camp shirts and many were part of the service

These leaders and adults are SO energetic and uplifting
I feel very blessed that my children benefitted from their enthusiam all week!
It doesn't sound like there was a free minute to get homesick!

I was freezing in the church (AC on)
and have a jacket on in my living room right now
but the sun is shining and warm
I should go sit outside and soak up some warmth!

I was thinking of making a yummy supper
stuffed chicken breast comes to my mind....

but if they win this first game
they play again at five
and by the time the game is over
no one will feel like a big dinner...

I had started reading the "I am livid with the teacher" thread when it was "new", it went downhill from my posting!

I was shaking my head as I read all nine pages now...

Tomorrow my DD's start a day camp experience
lasts two week (Summers Best Two Weeks is the actual name of it!)

back to packing lunches (yuck)

My DD's are almost the same height right now
13 needs a growth spurt!

We just got new neighbors
moved in Tuesday

they are complete work a holics so far
outside work
trimming bushes
pulling weeds
cutting down trees


The place did need some sprucing up
but I would think the inside would be priority
maybe they are doing both all at once

13 is rounding up a volleyball team
to play in the yard

seems to be slim pickin's of neighborhood kids right now
they may have to settle for four square instead

We live near a busy highway
and a neighbor boy (who is 10)
is allowed to ride his bike on it
and over to a plaza
where Giant Eagle is
and a Subway restaurant is

my kids are not allowed to do this


anyway, he and a friend rode over yesterday
to go to subway

(by themselves!)

and the friend got hit by a car, on the bike!

He will be okay, no head injury, thank goodness
just badly scraped up, lucky, really

DS doesn't get a lot of playing time at ball

yesterday they were up 14-0
and the coach STILL did not put in any of the second string

DH is very cranky about this
There are 18 kids on the team
and at least six of them sit and warm the bench

he was talking with the parents of another benchwarmer
at church

seems like the coach hopes the "extras" will quit
or actually, I don't know if he cares one way or the other
he doesn't play them, so what diff would it make to him if they came or not?

14-0 and you still don't let the kids play?
