My 6 year old really wants to make sure to see the "bad guys" while she is in Disney World, she's funny like that! :p

Where is our best chance to see some of the villains, specifically Malificent?

I love the villians too. I only saw Malficient at the Castle during Cinderella's suprise show and on a float at the parade. I never seen her walking around, but I'm sure she does.

Are they still at the Character Festival or whatever it was called right outside of the Winne the Pooh ride or has that been taken down with the revamping of that area??? It was nothing but villans at one time.

I cant help with Villian characters but my daughter loved the Villian shop in MGM

Check the area around the castle after the show.

Also, though you can't "meet her" per se, there are a lot of villians, including Mal. in Fantasmic.

You can usually find Jafar at Morocco in Epcot at certain times of the day. Again, you can't meet them, but the parades at MGM and MK are good places to see them.

We were there 8/15-19 and we saw Jafar and the Wicked Queen from Snow White at MGM studios - just at the entrance - it was a meet and greet and a bunch of good guys were there also (Gepetto, Hercules, Pocahontas, Meeko, Aladdin, Genie and the penguins from Mary Poppins). We have also seen the Wicked Queen from Snow White in disguise (as the hag) in Epcot - down by the travel shop at the international gateway between the UK and France. Also, we once went to the tent at Mickey's Toontown and there was a line for the Villain Room- Saw Gov. Ratcliffe (or whatever his name was from Pocahontas), King John from RObin Hood, Captain Hook (have also seen him at Pirates) and one other but I can't remember who.

Good Luck and have a magical time!!

MGMs afternoon parade contains an entire section of villians as well as their own store just down Sunset Blvd.
This summer some of them were outside the Sorcerer's Hat area signing autographs, but you won't find them all 'cause they are too scary for the little ones.
At MK there are a couple in the stage show in front of the castle--Frodo from Hunchback and the Wicked Queen from Sleeping Beauty.

the parade has everyone--be sure and get a front row seat.

Several years ago they had a "Villian Dinner" at The Floridian which would be perfect - but I do not think they have it anymore. It is worth asking about though.

I see you leave in 28 days which is just in time for MNSSHP - the Villians are out in force that night - especially in the parade. My DD 5 was Cruella for the Party last year and the reaL CRUELLA herself came out of the parade, under the ropes and pulled DD onto her feet for a nice photo op! She said" "You look fabulous in fur darling!" Horace and Jasper also singled her out wanting to know "where are the puppies?"

So if I suggest if you go to MNSSHP that you dress as a villian and stand front and center during the parade for extra attention!
We'll be there the same time and plan to attend again!

ImagineEar that moment for your DD must have been the best. You should post a picture so we can all see. :) Sounds too cute.

We got a pic and autograph with Malificent at the Town Square in the MK this past October. The Queen of Hearts was also out. We have also gotten pics and autographs with Captian Hook and Jafar--all in the MK.

the character fest greeting area is now a shaded lounge area. you may catch mal or any other villian in area of hat at mgm. i also got some on main street around flag pole.

o.k. - can't stand it anymore - what are these "villians" everyone keeps talking about. Ursula, Malificent, etc. - I've heard of those "villains"!

There is another thread here debating about taking kids out of school to go to WDW. I think the kids are fine, but maybe us adults need to go back to spelling class....

In August, we saw Cruella and Jafar right inside the main gate at MK. My DD was interested in seeing Cruella- but only from a distance. :D

Ugh...I've had some bad experiances with the villains. When I was a little child, we found General Ratcliffe (from Pocahontas) and I went up to get my little softball signed (we got softballs at one of the stores and had them signed by various disney people) and I handed it to him with my pen, timidly. He threw it pretty far on the floor and did this snooty little thing. I knew these villains were supposed to be mean but come on. I distinctly remember going to pick up the ball, crying like heck, and running towards the exit. Mom was talking to that guy, and said, "you jerk" and then she stamped on his foot. Then she ran after me. It's villains like that that made my disney trip really non-magical. ugh...Disney should have fired that guy after that.

I've always been drawn to the bad side, too! Seems like the Villain attitude can be a hit or miss, I've heard lots of stories where little kids have been frightened, but throwing down somebody's possessions is pretty suckey. Depending on how humorously it's done, I think it can actually be pretty humiliating to have to retrieve your own autograph book/softball, and then if you really want it, return to ask AGAIN for an autograph??? I would've left, too.

My good experiences, on the other hand, have been with the Queen of Hearts, who singled me out during spectromagic, and then shook her finger at me and motioned the "off with your head!" It was great, especially since "Alice in Wonderland" is one of my all time faves!

We've seen Hook, and the Queen from Neverland, and I think I recall seeing Snow White's queen in MK wandering around on our very first visit. DSD was still quite young then and wouldn't go near her, and in 2000 DD wouldn't go anywhere near Hook and Smee!

I would LOVE to take the villain line in Toontown when it's up; I think their autographs might just be worth it (usually prefer pics to autographs, though). Not sure my girls would go for it, though.

My favorite villain story comes from a long ago visit in the 90s. Characters were out at Town Square in MK and we were getting autographs of course. Hook was walking around and DH went up to him and said "tick, tock." Hook brandished his hook and chased DH all around the Square. It's one of my favorite memories!
