shaving Cream and Meds in Checked luggage?

Has anyone packed Sahving Cream in Checked luggage before - does it expolode? I know it says don't subject to extreme heat or cold? I normally carry all my toiletries on the plane...

What about medicine, will this be okay checked? I am talking about OTC for kids, usually bring Pedicare for coughs and Motrin, both liquids. If I don't bring it, you know I will need it!

When I have packed that type of stuff I just put it in a large ziploc baggies. That way if the stuff does 'explode' it's contained.

Yes I have packed saving cream (gel type) and it didn't explode. I always pack everything (liquid, gel or anything that could melt like solid deoderant) in a large ziplock and I scotch tape any flip tops on toothpase shampoo etc. I have had some flip tops pop open.
