I just started a concession stand business which has shaved ice & pizza. Just curious what toppings you put on your shaved ice in your area. The last few weeks we have been set up at a Fireworks store and had a lot of customers from VA & DC. They ask for marshmallow and cream (condensed milk) What other toppings do you all like or have you seen offered???

I LOVE Snow Cones :-) I Like Putting Fresh Fruit On Mine And Fruit Juice Flavoring, A Great Summer Treat!

Our favorite shack has gummi bears, pop rocks, and something called a snocap. I'm a snowie purist so I have never ordered any toppings though :).

I only put fruit flavors on mine. I've never even heard of putting toppings on them.

I've never heard of putting anything other than fruit syrup flavorings on them.

It would never occur to me to use a topping on shaved ice. And condensed milk?:confused3

No toppings other than flavoured syrups for me. I prefer cherry but once in a while I'll go crazy and do halfcherry and half blueberry so that I get a purple top.

But, now that you mention it, it would be great to have some maraschino cherries with it, too.

What is tis milk business all about? I can't think of anything more gross-sounding to me but maybe I'm not getting the whole picture.

I'm from Hawaii where it's called Shave Ice and is a common year round treat. Here are two web sites from places on Oahu. Matsumoto Shave Ice is regularly featured on Travel Channel shows as a traditional place to go to when you visit the north shore surfing action. The other is my favorite shave ice location with really yummy, home made syrup flavors. There are some really great photos on there!

I believe the "snowcap" topping is also referring to sweetened condensed milk that hardens when poured on the top of the flavored cone.

wow...another one here who has never heard of putting "toppings" on a sno-cone..to me the sno-cone with the syrup is more than enough in itself...I really never ever thought the idea of putting something on it...

DH's favorite shaved ice is Pina Colda. He gets it topped with cream/condensed milk. Makes it more like a virgin version of the real thing. I personnally don't like my shaved ice with the cream, but a bite or two of his is ok.

I helped a friend out and worked one summer in thier shaved ice stand.

I always got vanilla and cream. (here cream is usually either the liquid shake mix or half and half)

We get alot of the usuals, cherry/grape/bluerasberry. The ones I remember the most besides the vanilla and chocolate cream, are pina colada and mocha.

Wow, those look good! And look at the strawberry on--a hidden Mickey!!!!

I'm a fan of Kaki Goris at WDW!

My next door neighbor owns a chain of shaved ice cone stands.
I am not sure if you are using flavorings and toppings as interchangeable but my favorite flavor is a mix of guava, mango, passion fruit and pineapple.
My neighbor does put a couple of gummi bears on the cones for the kids so I guess that is a topping.

We drove by Matsumoto on a tour in Hawaii in 2007...line all the way down the street. We weren't able to stop long enough to try one.

My favorite shave ice flavor is strawberry and cream. We also have the option to add cream here (Houston area) and I think it's delicious.

I never imagined putting toppings on, but I'd guess rainbow sprinkles would be a hit with kids.

I love shave ice!!! Of course here in Hawaii it has more the texture of snow vs being ice bits. SO GOOD!

Waialoa (?) by the zoo is my fav shave ice place but up in Hale'iwa I like Aioki's best. Shorter line LOL.

Anyway,...topic at hand. I don't like any extras on mine.
