Sharks?

Whilst reading a thread on one of the other forums,i remembered something that I had meant to ask after returning from my last vacation. Where are the sharks?I did ask a CM at the time & all he could say was that they just disappeared one day! Now the cynic in me was thinking that this may have been just another cut back(one of many that I/we noticed!) or the fact that you can now pay to dive in the "Living Seas" & perhaps insurance/liability cover was going to be too expensive.Can anyone shed any light on this?

I guess someone getting ripped limb from limb would not really add to the Disney Magic, would it??? In that case, good call on taking the sharks out of the tanks!!

I didn't really notice they were gone but at the same time, I wasn't looking for them either. I did ask a CM one year if they were worried about the divers and other fish in the tank with the sharks around. He told me that they kept the sharks well fed so that they wouldn't want to eat anything else.

The sharks are still at the Living Seas, as well as at Typhoon Lagoon in the Shark reef. At least they were @ TLS last week...
The regular feeding schedule, coupled with the water temperature and the natural tendencies of the species of sharks used keep the risk at an absolute minimum.

The tank at The Living Seas is HUGE, and sharks are colored naturally to make them inconspicuous. My guess is that you and/or the CM you spoke with just didn't see them (was the CM a merchandise host, or a member of the research team?)
