Anyone else watching? Some years better than others, hoping for a good year.

I just started watching Big Shark Energy and am noticing that some sharks have small brown hairy patches on them, anyone know what this is? Algae?

No other fans? My my my Shark Week, how far you have fallen, it used to be such a big thing.

Surprised it is quiet when there has been such an uptick in activity, the seal population in New England is jumping so I expect there will be more... I look at the app all the time.

If you are visiting the Cape they have excursions to look for sharks

Ah yes, Shark Week...the time to terrorize my younger sister, who is afraid of sharks. I play the Jaws music when she goes swimming, though I admit she no longer reacts to it, so I overdid it.

My mother lives on the Cape and said there have been shark sightings lately. My husband will be sent there periodically to fly over the water and capture images for confirmation for the news.

I live north of Boston and I believe a few years back a Mako shark was spotted around my area.

I absolutely LOVE Shark Week. It's crazy how many shark sightings there have been this year!
I'm excited to check out the link you shared with my kids; they're becoming shark week-obsessed, too! :)

Nope, not interested. My DH who is a scuba diver and has seen sharks in the wild is not even watching.

I love Shark Week except when they have done the stupid Blair Witch/Sharknado “shows” a couple years ago.

One of my favorite shows is when Mythbusters was in one of the Dhark week shows.

Disney+ has new shark content up. We watched one about a great white nursery off the coast of Long Island on Sunday. I think it was called Baby Sharks in the City.
That's interesting, I vaguely remember something about a massive population of young sharks off of Sardinia driving the idea that sharks raise babies in special areas of the world.

I'm actually liking the Shark Week content on Nat Geo (Sharkfest) better than Discovery this year. I am a fan! We have a house on the Cape and I remember the shark tournaments from when I was little - they don't do them anymore, thank goodness. My Sharktivity app has been busy!
