Shark Reef Charge?

When I was at Typhoon Lagoon in 2001 there was an additional charge to take part in Shark Reef.
A friend just told me that she thinks there isnt a charge anymore.
Can anyone clarify this?
If there is a charge do you know how much it is?
And how long do you get to float?

I went to TL last year in July and did not pay to go through the Shark Reef. You snorkel across a fairly small pool enclosure with the sharks, fish, and rays. It doesn't take very long.

I went last August and it was free but the water is ice cold. I had my head above water trying to catch my breath - but the few fish I saw was amazing. I will definitely be going again but better prepared for the water! Enjoy!

There is an extended dive for which they give you a tank. There is a charge for that. There has never been a charge for the snorkel across the reef.

It is a fairly quick trip across and they only let you move forward but my kids get out and do it again, usually 3x in a row.

We did this last THursday at opening time. There was NO charge. We were able to do it twice in a row without waiting. One thing I learned the first time through is to swim in the perimeter to extend your time in the tank. I swam too fast, and should have taken in more time. I made up for it the 2nd time.

We have never paid to do Shark Reef. Some one gave you bad information.
