Hi: Just heard on chch news that an ll yearold illinois girl was standing in knee deep water and was bit on the leg by a shark.

Anybody heading down there stay in their hotel pools for swimming. I am going to stay on the beach and out of the water.

Deb.

I'm with you cottontail.

We usually do the "beach thing" for a few days before or after WDW (Clearwater Beach or Daytona Beach) but this year we're all too chicken (there have been several this year already & quite a few last year as well) so we're staying at the GF in July & hoping that will satisfy our "beach" cravings...we can sit on the beach & then walk into the zero entry pool when we need to cool off. We're hoping it will work out OK.

We went into the ocean last year's Florida trip (Dayona) ~ it was at the height of the shark scare. dd (7) was always with dh and they never went out far. ds (15 months old) and I basically stayed ankle deep, which was knee deep for him LOL! The kids were more interested in playing in the sand and looking for shells at the shoreline. I was there for the sunrise! I never feel more alive than when I watch the sun rise. S

Hi Sandra;

I think we will stop our second night at ormond beach, we will get there after supper, but can sit on the balcony and do the nice walk in the a.m. then head over to the animal kingdom for a couple of days, then on to the poly.

I have to make sure my hubby will not go and swim, he is not afraid of anything, but I would hate to go all that way, and not smell the ocean air, see the pelicans flying around and hopefully see wild dolphins like our last trip. I will probably do like you be up early to see the sunrise over the ocean.

Hi Deb, I was super disappointed last year NO DOLPHINS! I told dd all about them and they never showed up! In years past, we enjoyed HUNDREDS of them! The sunrises awesome! If your dh wants to swim with sharks, he can go to Shark Reef at TL! Now that's a cool experience! I would totally freak out to see a shark in the ocean. TL is different, I don't think WDW wants me to end up shark doo-doo so I trust WDW and the TL sharks! Have a great time! S

Thanks sandra:

The dolphins were about l5 feet out from the shore, about l0 of them swimming around. It will sure beat this nice spring weather, freezing rain and snow. Have a great trip too. I was looking at that pool slide at the CSR looks like fun.

Deb.

Deb, we are going at the same time right? I am dumb blond lady and forget many things! LOL! Do you have youngins? Mine are dd8 and ds2. See you at the pool! S

You guys will love the pool and the slide at CSR the kids play area is amazing to they will love it have a good time

We plan on spending a ton of time at the CSR pool. We intentionally books 10 night and purchased the CDN deal tickets so we can come and go as we please and sit and play by the pool EVERY DAY! We were thinking about asking for Cabanas 8A to be close to the Dig Site. Is it noisy? We hate noisy! Thanks! S

Actually Sandra we didn't find the place noisy at all even when we walked around outside you couldn't hear people.
