I've only been to WDW once, and did not use the dining plan. I am planning a trip again in October with 4 of us, and none of us have a large appetite and also do not plan to use the dining plan. How are TS restaurants about sharing entrees? Just wondering if that's frowned upon or just a no-no. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

We've done it quite a bit at several places around WDW, mostly signature dining. Did sort of a family style thing, sharing a few apps, entrees and desserts. All the servers were very helpful, had items split in the kitchen to make it easier to share and pass plates around. You cannot do it a buffets, but at Le Cellier or CaliGrill, you shouldn't have a problem. FWIW.

We have shared meals on all of our trips so far, it has never been problematic at all.

I'm going to post my standard warning about sharing. You can certainly do it but sometimes you might end up with more food than you thought. We ordered a burger and fries to split. The burger was split nicely but we each got a full side of fries. And once my son ordered a bowl of cheddar cheese soup at LeCellier. My husband and I both wanted to taste it so I asked for three spoons. We got three bowls of soup instead. And only got charged for one.

If nothing else, Disney overdoes it with splitting meals!

Although you might apparently end up with more food, you will still have a smaller bill :)

Never had a problem splitting meals at WDW, if they didn't split it in the kitchen they at least brought out a second plate. I would encourage you to tip as if you'd ordered two meals though.

Excellent point. I always make sure I tip as if we had all ordered seperate meals. After all there´s just as much work, if not even more, for the server.
