Is it ok if a 4 year old child shares a meal with a parent instead of ordering a child's meal? We are not on the dining plan but we do have a TIW card. On our last trip I felt we wasted money and food at several meals by ordering a kid's meal.

Its YOUR money, you can do what you want. You can share with 10 people if you wanted to. I know a lot of ppl who share meals at disney. With or without the dining plan. You'll be fine trust me! :thumbsup2

You can absolutely share, and it's a great idea! My mom and I just got back from a week long trip and shared almost all of our meals. If we thought a sandwich and fries wouldn't cut it, we ordered a small side or treated ourselves to dessert :)

I've always shared with DD at sci fi - they brought an extra plate and offered to split the food no problem.

Everyone will be charged at:

-buffets
-all you care to eat family style meals
-dinner shows (Hoop de Doo, luau, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue)
-fixed price restaurants (e.g. CRT, Akershus)
-anyone eating from the skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe

You will be able to share at a la carte menu restaurants.
