Hello all! I just checked out today, and I wanted to share a couple things with you. I appologize if I'm repeating what has already been said here, but I don't have much time right now to look through the last few pages. I was on the deluxe plan for a week-

We went to Cap'n Jacks on 9/24. Had the twin lobster tail dinner and decided to go back today for more. No longer on the menu. :sad2: The hostess said the menu had changed on Friday (9/26)

There are plenty of items at the food and wine fest that you can get using a snack credit. I got a lamb chop (sooooo yummy!) and some chicken thing from Mexico (also yummy). My dad got a lobster roll and one of those chicken things.

As of 9/29 the filet was still on the menu at Le Cellier. I didn't try it though. I had the NY Strip and it was very good. The soup didn't dissapoint either!

Saw a sign in DTD saying the T-Rex Cafe will be open in a couple weeks. I believe the date was the 14th or 15th.

We shared a lot of our food with each other. By that I mean that we sampled each others appetizers and entrees. No one ever said anything. We never ordered just one thing to split between 2 of us, so I don't know if they would have said something or not. :confused3

Deluxe plan is a LOT of meals. Unless you eat 3 square meals a day, or intend to go to signature places you might feel like you aren't getting your money's worth. We had about 20 meals left that we couldn't use, although with the meals we did use about 90% of them were over $100. So, I think we at least got what we payed for, probably a little more. Would I ever pay full price for the deluxe plan again? I really don't know. I have to go through all my reciepts and figure out the cost effectiveness.

Hi, thanks for the update, hm interesting lobster is gone from the menu....they have had that on their forever and are known for it, maybe a sign disney is starting to feel a pinch and need to cut back?? Maybe we can start planning to see some great discounts in 2009, i dunno i am probably jumping way ahead

Still don't have an adr yet at Le Cellier, but I keep trying! I really want the filet. Have you heard they were supposed to be removing it from the menu? We have an adr at Kona's and particularly for the filet and recently heard that it's just been taken off the menu! We are very disappointed!! :sad2:

We also had capn jacks adr specifically for the twin lobster tails and I saw another post the other day that it had been taken off the menu! Arrghgh! So, we cancelled that adr, darn it! They sure must have been good if you wanted to go back for some more!

They weren't humungous (sp?) tails, but they were indeed good. So was their clam chowder. I think they may have realized that with it being the most expensive item on the menu, and more than likely the bulk of people ordering it are on the dining plan, they are probably losing money. We were even going to ask if we could get double orders and use some of our extra credits we had left. I wish they had posted something in the restaurant at least to notify people that they were going to make the change. I had read on here that filets were disappearing from menus as well, that's why I wanted to share that as of the other day it was still on the menu. If I was you I would inquire once you're there about availablility. It was busy, but there were at least a couple tables open when we went. Now, I don't know if they were already claimed by ADR's that hadn't shown up yet, but you could always try. :thumbsup2

We experienced some big changes during our visit too. We had several CM's tell us that free dining was "over on the 27th" so they couldn't wait until that day. That's also the day the TS for a CS+2 snacks thing ended too. We saw a lot of differences after the 27th - menu changes in many spots -- Coral Reef told us that they were taking off the mac n cheese, in exchange for "beefy macaroni with whole wheat pasta", Pizza Planet redid their entire menu to add a kids pick....etc etc....the changes were a little disheartening.

Thanks for the updates.

I can't wait or T-Rex to open and for a menu to be posted :cool1:

Thanks for the info about the F&W snacks! :cool1: I'm a foodie and while we aren't going to WDW specifically for the F&W I thought being there might be a nice bonus, but I assumed I wouldn't be able to use any DDP credits. So happy to know that's not the case! :goodvibes
