Sharing Vacation Video (made with Nikon D3100)

I want to share our family vacation video. It was using only a Nikon D3100.

It was very fun to film using a photo camera instead of a videocamera. Nice image and depth of field. But it was hard to deal with the focus!!

I want to keep trying. I think is a excellent way to do both photos and video with just one piece of equipment in the parks.

This was awesome and your little girl is adorable! I have the canon t4i and just used the video for the first time at my son's graduation last month. I had some focusing issues...I do not have the STM lenses. However, my daughter is getting married in the fall and I was surprised to find out that many of the videographers out there are now using these as their video camera. The guy we hired will be using a canon 7D. His videos are amazing! How great that there is no need to drag along that video camera with your DSLR too! How much did all the video drain your battery? Thanks for sharing this!

Actually, my plan was to shot just short clips in order to allow easier editing later. I didn't take long shots neither film complete shows. I did focus my efforts in my little princess candid moments. So battery wasn't an issue for short clips.
