Hello everyone

I know this has been discussed sporadically on a few different threads....

What has been the experiences of those sharing table service meals on the Dining Plan? Have the restaurants been cooperative if ask to share meals so you only have to use 1 TS credit? Is the service any different? What restaurants has everyone done this at?

Do you just tell them up front what you're doing and they go with it? Then if you order anything additional like a drink or appetizer, you can pay for that out of pocket?

Thanks for your experiences!

Jackie

Our first night at WDW my two kids shared Jeffro's Pork Chops at Whispering Cnayon Cafe with NO problems. I'm pretty sure that this should not be a problem at most places.

We just got back.....daughter and I shared a few meals. No problem at all. Most restaurants divided the food and served us on two plates, a few just brought out an extra plate. :earsboy:

Hi! We shared meals every night. It is so much food. None of the restaurants cared who was ordering and eating what food!! What a great plan. We tried many restaurants we wouldn't have normally tried. We are going back soon! Have a great time on your trip.

Prime Time was particularly great about sharing - they brought out the food on two plates and were generous with the portions. No OOP purchase here - one of us just had H20 to drink.

IMO, LeCellier was less great about sharing, we split the New York Strip and it's fine that they brought it on one plate, but there were only about five potato wedge things for the side. We did pay OOP for one cup of cheese soup and that worked out fine as well.

Those are the only two meals we split! :)

I wonder, can you buy a side of the potatoes and pay for them OOP? Are there enough included to even bother? LOL...

Piggy-backing here....

I hate to waste food, and I'd like to stretch our 10 TS credits to cover 11-12 meals. I can always cancel a meal later in the week, or pay OOP, if necessary. So, I thought I would plan to share at the following restaurants -

CRT (dinner)
Rose and Crown
Prime Time
Shutters
Whispering Canyon
Sci-Fi

If we get 4 or 5 meals instead of 6 at each of these places we should have 6-12 more credits and that should make my plan doable.

Any thoughts???

I know that WC has both an all you can eat and a ala carte menu, so you'd just want to be sure you are all okay with the ala carte options, I would think!
