Skye's autograph book is filling up. Not only is she a shoping maniac she an autograph hound! (I love it.) At home, she's a bit hard to wake--but at WDW, when Mickey called in the mornings, she came up off that pillow quick.
This morning is breakfast at the castle..we catch the bus at 7:30am and get there in time to watch another little girl open the park. It was special just because I know what they were all feeling. We took a leasurly walk down Main St., stopping to get our picture made by a photographer..(ended buying two)
Our royal servants seated us at a nice table by a window. Skye was nervous or something because she had the droppies--and when she saw Aladdin it got worse. "He's so cute, Nana." (And she's just six!) I loved the stuffed french toast..everything was hot & delicious. We saw Cindy, Snow White, Jassmine, Belle, Aladdin & the fairy godmother. We ate at several character meals, but this was our favorite. If it hadn't been for the DIS boards, I would never have gotten the ressies.
We rode Dumbo again and spent the rest of the morning on rides we missed the day before. We loved the Buzz ride of course. At 11:00am we stopped and purchased our photos, shopped a little, then went back to ASMu. On the bus, Skye shared some of the pixie dust that had fallen into her fanny pack with a sweet little old lady she'd been talking too. The lady teared up and so did I. At the hotel, we swam & napped. Well, I napped & Skye watched cartoons.
At 3pm we caught the bus to Epcot. Test Track was all out of FP as I knew it would be and the line was 90min so we skipped it. We did do SE, Energy, Body Wars, Cranium & Honey I Shrunk before it was time to check in for our ps at the Rose & Crown.
I had a couple brewskies while waiting...Yumm. We got a table on the upper level outside. I'd hoped for lower but at least we were outside. I ordered the prime rib & Skye the Mac & Cheese. It was delicious.
We were just finishing up when an english girl (hostess maybe?) came to our table and asked Skye "Would you do us a favor? Mickey was supposed to be here to start Illuminations tonight and he's running late, could you start Illuminations for us?" Can you believe this kid's luck!? They gave her this glow in the dark wand thingie--kinda like in Star Wars--and she started Illuminations. The crowd cheered and she got another "this moment was certifiably magical" certificate! What an ending to another magical day!
Oh yeah, on the bus headed back to ASMu, Skye fell asleep (as usual) this time she cuddled up on this big burly guys (about 23yr old) arm. I tried to get her off but he insisted she was okay. He carried her (with me holding her hand)off the bus for me and through Melody Hall until she woke up. Boy was she surprised!
Three ibuprophin for Nana before bed for the oh so achy lower back & feet...night night.
