Sharing photopass?

So, I'm going on vacation with some friends and was thinking of saving money by sharing one photopass cd between the two of us and burning it (or putting it on my picasa) to share between the two of us. has anyone ever done this before - how did it work?

As long as you are doing the regular Photopass (not the plus), it will work just fine. We've don it before. You just need to make sure that you only enter the card numbers onto one account and if you preorder, make sure that is the account the cards are entered on. You will need to give the other family the login info so they can edit their pics and make sure everyone is done editing before you order the cd. You can actually order two copies from Disney,but it is cheaper to just mak your own copy once the disk(s) arrive.

ETA: Also, the photos will be in chronological order, so they will be all jumbled up. This will prolong the editing process a bit, but not enough to make it not worth doing.

Also if there will be photos with the entire group, make sure only one of you hands the photopass photographer a card. We went on a tirp with 2 other families and I think the times that another family or two handed their card to the photographer also there were duplicate photos on the photopass account. But this was about 5 years ago so they may have changed it so that duplicates aren't added to the same account.

No, I don't think they've changed this -- I'm handling a photopass share for the kids who just went on a high school trip (figuring they all want pix of their friends), and my DS and his friend are two of the kids whose parents bought into the share -- I have duplicates of the couple of photos they took together!
