This is the first time that our son 10 will be adult on the DDP and our 3 year old will get a child credit. However our son is on the autism spectrum and well pretty much only eat kids meals. Our 3 year old will not eat meat but loves garden salad and eats like a bird very small amounts but multiple times a day. So some of the places my meal will be more than enough for me and 3 year old so since we have 3 adults and once child credit could we just use 2 adults (me and her share and DH has his own) then use her child credit for our son to eat her meal if there is nothing on the adult menu. Some of the kids meals come with a little garden salad as the app which would fill her up anyway. We don't want to be ordering a bunch of meals for no reason. But I didn't know if on the DDP and you had 4 people if you had to use 4 credits for TS meals each time.

My experience is dated (2005), but at that time, you only ordered as many meals as you wanted, and that's how many credits they took off your card.

I suppose this wouldn't work if you were at a buffet.... or a character meal.... but for ordinary dining (and of course quick service) you should be fine.

You are a great mom to make sure your kids are getting what they need while having fun at Disney!

Yes, you can do what you're planning. You can definitely use the child's credit for your son, while you and your daughter share a meal.

TS places will only limit you to the number of Adult and Child's credits on your KTTW cards. In your case it looks like you'll have 3A/1C listed so that will be maximum number of meals you'll be able to order at one time. Who eats what won't matter.

The only place that doesn't allow 2 people to use one credit is Via Napoli, but you can share if paying OOP.

My husband and I use the dining plan on all of our trips. We often are very "creative" with our points and we have never had a problem. We share a lot to save points to use at a character meal or a signature meal. We often share a TS and pay OOP for an app. it is plenty of food, and there is always those snack credits if we have room.:thumbsup2

You can do that everywhere except buffets, family style meals and dinner shows. At those places you will have to use a credit or pay oop for each person.

Thanks everyone for your help!!! I assumed such with the buffets and character meals since everyone is getting an "experience" which is fine at least I know at the regular TS locations we can. thanks again for all your help and input!

We have 7 TS credits per person to use but we have 9 ADRs. I did all the math multiple times. After taking the AYCTE/buffet ADR's out of the equation, sharing a meal along with an appetizer (only when it looks like it might be necessary) and purchasing the extra drink only saves me a grand total of $90 including tip - not even worth the hours it took me to do all the math both ways over and over (because it didn't seem like that could possibly be correct) :rotfl2:
We won't bother to share meals to save $90. Letting each person order exactly what they want is worth that much to me.
