Sharing Meal Credits?

We did a similar situation during our vacation last week. We didn't realize there would be an issue sharing credits between rooms until the last meal of the vacation at 50s primetime. Every other restaurant was ok with it, although looking back, one server did point out that we had more people at the table than the magic band said, to which we said it's because we have two rooms, it's ok to take all the credits from my band. No problems.
I won't return to 50's Primetime for future vacations due to how they made us feel. I should be able to use my credits however I choose. All of us were adults and all credits purchased were adult credits. I say be prepared to argue the point wherever necessary. I read the website, and I don't see where it says I cannot pay for someone else's meal with my prepurchased credits.

For some reason, 50's PTC seems to be an outlier on the sharing question

That's because it's allowed per their own policyreceived_564864600766227.jpeg

That is so interesting. I love this... wish I had it to show to the server at 50's Primetime. She was very grumpy about this. Honestly made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
Unfortunately, Hollywood and Vine will give guests a hard time too since its run by the same manager. I don't bother with either restaurant anyway and so far, have never had any problems elsewhere on property

In my family I am the original Disney Geek, which is why I plan this stuff. When I worked there they said during traditions that the harshest critics Disney has are ex-employees because they know what is expected. That may be the case with me. Although even with saying that they still have earned my eternal contempt in how they destroyed "Star Wars".

Ironically I have been talking about this vacation as if I am going. I am not, just paying for it and planning it (my wife and the rest of her family are going). Real life happens, and it has happened to me, so no vacation. Planning vacations can be fun in an ulcer making kind of way.

I have zero issue with getting the remaining 6 children's meals as children's meals. That is what I paid for, and that is what I expect. It would be completely unreasonable for me to expect otherwise. Whatever loophole you guys are talking about is news to me. My point is if my group walks up to the register and orders 6 kid's meals, and the cast member can plainly see we are (almost) all adults that he/she needs to give me the food on my dining plan.

I really don't think that will be an issue. If Disney went full crazy and said only the kid could have it I would get my nephew to go up with his magic band and order the meals for us and just have him say he was REALLY hungry. Than after he gets the food, he decides to share. I really don't see Disney making a scene over an 8 year old wanting to share. Conversely, I hope it will not be a big deal that I use an adult's meal credit on a kid. Economically it does not effect the company at all.

With the Magical Express.... so if I load my luggage on, and get off at a different resort my luggage should still go to my home resort? I would think that it would, but you really don't want to take a chance that you are vacation for a week and have to wear the same clothes you came in with. Sanaa bread service is epic, but not that epic.

It's not going to be an issue. If you have 6 kids' QS credits and you order 6 QS kids meals, no one is going to bat an eye.

If by "load my luggage" you mean place your own luggage in the lower storage area of the bus you are actually on - no, they will not take that luggage to your home resort as you would be responsible for whatever you stored under there. If by "load your luggage" you mean put the Magical Express yellow tags on your checked luggage before flying to MCO then, yes, you could get off at AKL and your checked luggage will still go to your home resort. DME yellow-tagged, checked luggage goes on a separate method of transportation from MCO to the WDW resorts. It is not on the same bus you are on.

I asked and they told me I couldn't. No idea why. My biggest concern is Hoop dee doo. You have to make those in advance and pay for them. I am hoping it won't be an issue on the phone to have 12 credits taken off one room, and than me paying cash for the kid.
You need the dining plan on the mde It will use all credits when you book. You stop at concierge on arrival and have the child removed and pay oop.

Assumes of course, that quoted poster's asigned bus also stops where they want to exit.

This thread has peaked my interest. Were planning a trip for the first week of December and we're doing the same thing. My husband and I in room "A" with the deluxe plan and DS25 and his guest (who this will be is still pending :rolleyes1) in room "B".
We plan on sharing our credits for all of us. It didn't even occur to me that this could be a problem.
We're even hoping a free dining offer comes out so we can add it to DS room and have enough credits to add some signature meals.

There was a problem in the first few weeks of 2019. It was like some of the restaurants got a wild hair and tried to bring back what once WAS written into the plan, but Disney did away with the "no sharing" clause several years ago. These restaurants got enough push back from guests that they quickly got over it and all has been fine since. With the 2020 enforcement of "kid's must eat off kid's menu," my guess is the restaurants are now much happier with the idea of sharing and have no problem with it.

Ah! That does make sense. The would have been losing money if they were paid for a kids meal credit and provided an adult meal.
